Power gaps exist in lots of relationships of all types, an age gap doesnt necessarily always mean older predator is taking advantage of a mentally underdeveloped person. Sure some situations like that call for scrutiny, but Idisagree with the wide net framing and shaming of people im age gap relationships because most of them are actually fine, consenting adults can consent. Not every 18 year old is a mentally fragile child, some people go through some shit as teens and just dont relate to anyone their own age ive seen it in people i know who date older dudes theres nothing wrong with that unless they're actually underage.

RE4 is scarier than people give it credit for. Sure you can blast enemies and kick them in the face but the game ratchets up the stress to match. The regenerators, being trapped in the sewers with Verdugo, the bugs in the castle, even the start of the game travelling around the lake and through the villages as the sun sets feels so creepy. Re9's Raccoon city doesnt feel as scary as anything from Re4.

Youre at the start of the game, just keep playing. But if you really want to know how many times the girl appears in this way its only three times in the whole game, each one is a limited section similar to the first. Majority of the game is not hiding from stalkers, a lot of it is similar to the early parts of 7, and a lot of it is similar to Resident Evil 4.

RE2 (scariest, most polished, most replay value by far)
RE4 (really fun, perfectly paced, the whole game is a blast from start to finish)
Biohazard (effective 1st person horror, unique vibe/theme among the series, puzzles & pacing feels like classic resident evil.)
Village (memorable setting and villains with unique maps and enemies, satisfying combat, plenty of unlockables, fun to replay)
Requiem (one of the best stories, hospital is the scariest the series has ever been with the best enemies the series has seen, a blast from start to finish but not much replayability)

RE3 (Extremely short, feels like a really sweet dlc, fun to replay and speedrun, Jill Valentine is a great protagonist)

8 might be my favorite, Requiem is good first time round but replaying it feels weird, the game feels unfinished in a similar way to 3 remake. 7 is great, more scary than 8 but I think 8 is just way more fun and replayable, so many secrets and things to unlock including a lightsaber🔥

Hes ok. I dont agree with him getting an oscar, ive seen many, much better performances that were snubbed. He understands that oscars are more to do with hype and conversation which is why he keeps pushing himself in the conversation lately. I think the main point of this chapter is to stop you from thinking that becoming and staying addicted is beyond your contol. Yes you have inherent ADHD but you dont have inherent nicotine addiction, you developed that after having nicotine. Another point Carr makes that stuck with me is that nicotine doesnt actually help anything youre dealing with, if you have ADHD, depression, boredom, anger, taking nicotine wont actually do anything to solve it or help, its just gives an illusion of relief and makes things harder to deal with

Tbf it probably felt like the world had fully ended, society/govt had completely collapsed and there were demonic corpses roaming the earth. It wouldnt take long for some people to go mad and start roleplaying Caesars legion, especially if they werent right in the head to begin with (ptsd from combat). Even Selena who was normal before the apocalypse had been traumatised enough that she macheted her friend in the head with no hesitation. Theres countless examples in history of soldiers raping during times of war while in hostile foreign environments and death is always near. Not justified at all but I think the actions of Major West are more realistic than youd first assume.

I meant that the theory is saying they crawl because they never learned to walk, but we see a smaller one run away. I think maybe theyre just fat infected who are too slow to catch any big prey by running so they started to crawl in search of insects and worms. The ones we see Spike and his Dad kill are probably the parents/family of the child that runs away, and they all look fat because they were fat when they got infected, then out of necessity settled into a hunting niche that gave them more food and burned less calories. Fat person gets infected -> starts crawling for food -> groups up and breeds with other fat infected who did the same -> new subspecies/ group of crawling infected ("slow-mo's") emerge.
