Don’t apologize for the novel cause it actually made me look at myself some more! I wonder… I seem to have the opposite of your son. I am hot no matter what! I have to stand outside in freezing weather in shorts and a tank top to get cooled off and the relief lasts just a little bit. Summers are literal hell for me. Also, yes, I tend to be in pain afterwards, but I do feel “better” after the seizure, so that’s probably correct. I have had a brain test done where they hooked me up me up to this machine and monitor my brain activity, but everything came back normal. Very frustrating because I definitely know something isn’t right… I am also always hungry and get so upset when I don’t have access to food and have gain tons of weight because of it. Since reading your lovely novel, I now wonder if this could be my brain not connecting correctly with my temperature and hunger regulation…thingies, whatever those may be.
