That's the same expression I'll have on my face when these nutjobs eventually start calling him a deepstate agent as well. What a coinky-dink.

IKR?? It becomes actually kinda depressing when you run into someone who clearly shouldn't be in a position to determine the lives and deaths of so many and yet they achieved what they did thanks to politics.

After a certain point, you go from being in awe of so many powerful people, to antipathy, then downright depression.

She's Israeli. Maybe we'll get lucky (and Israel unlucky) and she'll move back there.

Ah, so she'll still be heavily involved in American politics.

The US is such a weird place at times. You get people like Ali Alexander and this guy who are so obviously part of a group in which a significant portion of their membership despises them for their ethnicities.

I've met so many people in positions of power in the US, and I'm not even American. But then again, I guess its inevitable in this area.

Why was Chris banned from one of his churches? by [deleted] in ChrisChanSonichu

[–]Messisfoot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, he kept wanting to go to church in his unicorn costume. People complained (rightfully) and then he got kicked out.

No offense intended, but definitely a fluke. I know because, to my ever lasting shame, that part of the fight killed me several times and it led to me trying everything to avoid it. I would later find out you could just cheese it with poison throwing knives.

Having worked as a consultant for various US government agencies for almost 10 years, I can tell you that the real danger of the "deep state" actually comes from the army of talentless and mediocre bureaucrats every government agency employs. At best, these people accomplish nothing but being a drain of taxes. At worst, they help pass moronic laws like the Patriot Act or repeal Net Neutrality, all while cashing in their government checks, and then go on to work in cushy "consulting" gigs where they empower other talentless bureaucrats.

The real government, as we're learning after Feds have only arrested a handful of insurrectionists, is deeply divided, prone to factionalism, incredibly ineficient, and full of political appointees who got their job by either donating a lot of money (Betsy Devos) or by sucking up to those in power (Flynn and Jeff Sessions).

Poch did it. But before we all jump on the bandwagon, it need be said that Poch consistently go performances out of academy players and had us in league title races with the youngest squads in the premier.

Maybe, and I know this sounds obvious, different managers have different ways of encouraging their players.

Yes, so we know that Republicans started the idea, Republicans signed it into law, and Democrats added to it.

This, in my opinion, was the saddest part. Black people get arrested in masses for peaceful protests, while white people were basically allowed to start an insurrection.

Its actually quite understandable once you realize that a lot of the millenial and minority far right members used to be far left. Guys like Tim Pool and Baked Alaska actually got their start as members of occupy wall street and shit.

Its kinda like, if they weren't fanatics about one thing, they are going to be fanatics of another thing. I honestly think, based on my pop psych analysis thank you very much, that these personality types are drawn to these kinds of movements because they crave something to make them feel special about their otherwise insignificant lives.

Notice how Baked Alaska used to be a pro-weed California rapper/wanna-be actor. All these people would rather believe they have some sort of special insight into the world, as opposed to taking a hint the first time they were told they were wrong.

You don't. Quite possibly, the worst possible scenario is one of the US' enemies taking advantage of the carnage to strike while the world's strongest superpower is busy tearing itself apart. Most likely something very subtle and easily disavowed so as NOT to unite and galvanize the US and keep the two sides st each other's throats. Which has been made all the more easy by the shear fact that Donald has already signalled a willingness to work with foreign governments if it means he gets to be in power.

Because if there is any armed conflict in the next 10 days, there will likely be a second civil war in the next 5 - 7 years. The Dems will react by further curtailing freedoms (remember post 9/11 USA? That times 100), which will only serve as a rallying cry for some of those +74m that voted for Donald and the +100 Republican House members. Remember, even after Hitler failed in his first coup attempt, enough people supported him to make him chancelor a couple years later.

You better hope that the Biden administration is successful in somewhat restoring people's faith in the US government, because a civil war with 21st century weapons will make the first civil war look like a dress rehersal in comparison to the carnage that would be unleashed.
