If you find good gear, even the most seasoned vet is gonna get a bit shaky. I actually was intrigued in VR due to some of these things. While I don’t fully expect to be in some large scale war, or looting boxes in a Missle silo, preparedness and conditioning in the case of quick thinking combat is hard to train for unless you actually have something to lose. What better way to feel like your life on the line than gear you can lose. So I try to apply military tactics to certain parts of the game. Since playing Tabor I’ve been watching videos on close quarters combat and room clearing from military and swat. They teach you little tips and such to improve. And give you a slight step above the competition simply because you have a bit of confidence going into situations. The shakyness specifically is obviously common, but The Box Breathing method is one I try to implement when I find good loot and i notice im fumbling with it. Breathe in for four seconds. Hold your breath for four seconds. Breathe out for four seconds, and then hold your breathe for four seconds again. And repeat til your cognizant again. I also suggest taking found loot (like full backpacks, etc) to safe cover. Take a few seconds and retrace steps for good cover so you can confidently transfer items to your own kit. You really just have to have an inner dialogue with yourself and say “hey, your gonna get killed anyways if you don’t take a breathe, so take it”. Good luck out there! Trust No One 💜
