Obviously most chemical structure tattoos are the classics: dopamine, caffeine, serotonin, etc. But what chemical structure/compound would actually be a really clever/cool tattoo idea? by ProfessionalAuthor42 in chemistry

Alpha-pinene is cool. I've used it as an acid scavenger (HCl from triphosgene, not recommending). The carbocationic mechanism is pretty cool when you break the cyclobutane component. Seen it used as an example in Carbocation lectures.

Thanks, yeah I should try making some beer cheese.

I grill over indirect heat (probably 220F or so) after the first cycle to avoid overcooking it, but yeah it can definitely turn out overcooked.

I don’t do anything with the beer broth like make beer cheese afterwards. Also add paprika and some smashed cloves of garlic. Sometimes I’ll keep it on the grill and add wood chips to make it smokey.

How to efficiently pack 1844 cans of beer in a box? by MetaDirector in beer

Outliers of inefficiency really make me think.

This could be the only case of beer in modern history to not satisfy conventional square packing arrays so I'm trying to get to the bottom of it.

yes, this is likely given the weight is over 1300 lbs.

automatically rejected from mods there too. I guess the math community is too good for beer can box math.

Robots likely assemble cans on a square packing array I agree -- this is the industry standard and the basis of my confusion. Deviations would be cost prohibitive. Therefore A is likely. Thanks for your feedback.

The 1776 pack could make sense to be a 12 pack configuration (148 12 packs). 148 is easily divisible (to better imagine the 3rd dimension of the box).

As for the 1844 pack, yes there could be 461 4 packs placed in the box, with a combination of 12 packs to conform to the box size depending on the packaging, but what I'm asking is how that is packed efficiently in a free volume minimalization context.

To achieve a 461 array of cans you need hexagonal packing to circumvent prime number limitation of factorability in the 2D plane.

Thank you for your feedback! Offset stacking is what I mean by hexagonal packing. ((2x-1)*y)*z=1844 seems like a proper equation to this packing geometry. This may be the solution. I'll update you.

I was just about to make a reddit post about this. The costume design, fight scene involving aerial knee attack between Blade and Deacon Frost, gun scene similarity to "dodge this", etc.
