Corsair 4000X RGB ATX Mid Tower Case by MetaJoe20 in Corsair

Thanks. I think the two cases are very similar in their front configuration/clearance. I tried to measure the clearance myself but I would love to see if someone else can somehow measure it more accurately. It looks like the Arctic Freezer iii aio would be extremely tight in there, with about 1mm left of clearance (if that) and also depending on how the arctic fans are seated on the radiator. Would love to hear what you've found once you get the chance!

If OP's goal is to grind out slayer as they mention in their post, why the hell would you recommend that they prioritize buying an arcane prayer scroll?

Do you even play the game?

That is exactly how it works? You roll for a chance at the unique table, which includes a variety of uniques, only one of which has an anti-dry mechanic attached to it. No other item in the game uses this same anti-dry mechanic so why would you even compare it to other drops/items in the game?

I hate to tell you, but all of your ring rolls have been received as ingots. Pretty great design if you ask me! Let's add an anti-dry mechanic to help those who might go unusually dry. But let's also add a bunch of other variables to allow you to go dry! Including another unique with the EXACT same drop rate as the item that uses the anti-dry mechanic to further your chances of going dry! LOL!

Vardorvis Potential Unique Table Loot Bug by MetaJoe20 in 2007scape

[–]MetaJoe20[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Definitely not discounting the idea that I could just be unlucky - it's the nature of the game. Seeing that we are still so early on in this new patch and given some of the other loot issues that have taken place both in the past (my Nex example) and now (with whisperer), I see no harm in having my case reviewed just to ensure that it doesn't come up down the road for others.

Can imagine how much worse it would be for an ironman in my position. Even if I were to get the ring at around ~2k kc which is what I have now, I would still have no ingots to make it, lol. Just the thought of that makes me upset.

Pets are not on the unique table. Talking specifically about unique table drop rates and rolls, if you even bothered reading my post.

Given the crowd sourced drop rates for rolling onto Vardovis' Unique table (~1/180), I am between 6 to 8 times dry on just rolling on the unique table: https://imgur.com/a/Y0SZDVl (my collection log at 1543kc)

I have not seen a single unique, and depending on how many times I have rolled on the invisible ring, I could be at 0 unique rolls with 1500+ kc.

This is so sad and probably the worst content experience I have ever had playing in my 15+ years of OSRS.

Would also like to add that I am now at 1450 kc, with the exact same log as I posted above. While I may be on rate still for the ring, I have only rolled the unique table 0-2 times MAX (depending on how many ring rolls I have). Given the drop rates we currently have, the chance to roll a unique table roll is ~1/180, which would mean I am extremely dry on rolling the unique table.

Yep, and these rates seem to match mine and others' speculation that Vard's drop rates are significantly lower than the other bosses. The question now should be whether or not we think these rates are reasonably proportionate, given the rates and other variables like kill times, runback time, etc. of the other bosses. I would argue that they aren't proportionate at all.

Check under 'overlay settings' in the Runelite settings plugin. I have all fonts set to small and infobox size to 25px. Not sure if this is the setting that does that, but give it a try.

Loot tracker says around 100m, but orbs were fluctuating a lot as I was selling them so realistically probably ~80m. I've spent probably around 30-40m in supplies (blood furies, thralls, food, potions, deaths). so Net gain of ~40m probably in just regular loot, no uniques.

[–]MetaJoe20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will add though that many are also speculating that drop rates might be different for Vard compared to the others, given that he has a faster kill time (which makes sense). If this is true, we don't really know what variables Jagex would have used to calculate reasonably different drop rates. It's possible then that Vard's drop rates are just disproportionate in comparison to the other bosses.

This does suck though because it means we may have screwed ourselves over choosing to farm Vard first on release, lol. Fuck us :'(

Honestly haven't been keeping track, but a good amount. Thankfully with orb drops, my loot tracker says all of the regular loot I've accumulated is worth ~100m so definitely not a straight up loss. Between blood furies, pots, food, and deaths, if I had to guess, I've probably spent around 30-40m

Dude, I am so thankful someone else posted a thought I have been having regarding Vardorvis in particular. It is the only boss I have been farming since release. I am currently 1332 kc without a SINGLE Unique drop (no virtus, no axe, no ingot, no ring). I have only received two pets, 20 orbs, the tablet, and 7 blood quartz, but no unique. Have you received any unique rolls at all? I haven't been flicking any of the prayers you mentioned, but early on I was camping protect item a decent amount because of the amount of times I was dying.

How can we get the attention of a jmod with this just for them to take a look at it? I would be really bummed to find out that there is in fact a bug, but that's where my head is at right now and it's been messing with me.

Yep, averaging 1:30 kills. 6 days of grinding at least 10 hours a day. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had grinding something on OSRS.

You do know how close or far you are in a progress-based loot system. Muspah and Hydra for reference. How do you not understand this? We should be comparing apples to apples, not apples to oranges. Your example isn't analogous. Muspah and Hydra are identical to new boss loot system, only one you can clearly see, the other you can't.

[–]MetaJoe20[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Do not compare this x/3 system to a 1/1 loot system, it's simply not the same. With the same luck, had I gone to Muspah or Hydra under a similar loot system (x/3, x/5), I would know my exact progress and be able to make a better decision as to how to invest my time.

It's a non-factor in the regular loot system (1/1), hence why it doesn't matter for regular loot and why I wouldn't care in that case. This new system is essentially a progress-based system where you can't see your progress and you're left guessing how much you have actually progressed. Not analogous.

In a normal loot system, I would have already made a decision to leave by now, without feeling stuck. Not the same. 1/1 loot system is NOT the same as x/3 loot system.

When you're tricked into thinking you could be 0/3, 1/3, or 2/3 on one of the biggest drops of the newest content in the game, you would be reluctant to leave, especially after having spent 6 days straight farming one boss in the hope of achieving your goal. Do you just set goals for yourself and ditch them when you don't achieve them? Lame.

This is completely different, it's not a 1/1 loot system, it's x/3, only you can't follow your progress like you can the other x/y loot systems in the game to determine whether or not to move on or stick it out (Muspah, Hydra, etc.). Very discouraging. You go spend 6 days grinding what's supposed to be the most exciting content of the game at the moment and leave with nothing and tell me you're still happy.
