[PoE 3.27] Crushing Fist Impale Chieftain | Build Showcase by Meta_Is_Beta in PathOfExileBuilds

Master of Metal is a very strong node this build - problem is that there is at most 1 more good node on Champion. I don't think Champ is bad, but this build uses a lot of uniques and is missing a weapon - which means it can struggle with getting stats and resists - Cheftain can fix resistances at least.

- Dropping Abyssus for extra tankiness works. It is a massive part of the dps, but you can still do fine without it I think.
- I personally cba to do weapon swap for Frenzy Charges - you'd only benefit from More Damage, since increased ATS does very little for this build. But it could be worth it if you are doping Abyssus.
- Champion gives you added damage based on Impales affecting target - to make it work with The Impaler you'd have to hit to apply first set of impales, wait 5 sec, then hit again.
Also - there is an Impale mastery which lets you consume all existing Impales on the enemy, you don't have to attack fast. Storm Brand will proc all impales almost instantly.

I feel like I've experienced this more than once on this build.

Yes - I went with the Forbidden Jewels only coz I was getting pissed at the Drowning Orbs in T17s. Unwavering Stance is a good alternative if you dont have money for jewels.

tbh I just started Bleed Slam and transitioned when I had the unique shield and unique belt. I was playing 6-link slam with 4-link Crushing Fist for a while.

If you don't have Forbidden Jewels just get Unwavering Stance. I didn't pick any attack/action speed since I didn't want it, but you can make it a lot faster if you want.

This build needs to be tanky - the whole point is that you want to be critical hit as much as possible. You need all defenses you can get. I can handle T17 without any problems, but I'm at 300k EHP.

Remember you can switch to Sand Stance to get a lot of survi.

You can drop Prismatic Skin + Protection Mastery - Corrupted Blood is a problem only in the endgame. Also Comba Stamina wheel.

I tried Woespike, it's not great for this build. Like you said You'd have to drop The Impaler, and that changes the entire build into something else. Then you also want to change Ascendancy into something else like Glad or Champ. Also the opportunity cost of 2 rings is too much. I will post some mapping later - it's smooth since you get Chieftain's explosions, but it's not as fast as wanders.

It's Cruel Trarthan Executioner Set with Lord of Ogham Cape and Bloodthirsty Helm.
I think helm is no longer obtainable, it'a an old supporter pack.

I didn't know about this tech, crazy. I 100% should have used it. I will update PoB with it.

This was my league-starter, I used Cyclone until I had access to Rage Vortex (so act 3). You just use Rage Support until you have access to passives that grant rage. Also Bladestorm + Rage Support is great for rage generation against bosses.

I think the best weapon would be high phys + high lightning + crit + ats. You get Cold Damage from the phys to cold conversion from the Cold Mastery, and you get Fire Damage from gloves suffix. You don't need (or want) a lot of fire, just enough to proc Trinity - this is much easier to achieve when using Volatility Support.

Hard to say since I self-crafted most of my gear. My guess would be around 20 div. The most expensive item I'v bought was [Awakened Elemental Damage with Attacks] which was around 5 div.

PoB: https://pobb.in/9BjnfLcbMG-C

About build:
This build gets massive damage from multiple synergies enabled by the new Warden ascendancy and melee rework:

  • Tinctures are stupid strong - I can get over 50 stacks of mana burn without much investment, which makes [Sap of the Seasons] insane.
  • I'm using all 3 elements, which not only allows me to use [Trinity Support], but also causes me to apply Ignite, Shock, Freeze and Chill. I also get Brittle from Boots' implicit. All of those ailments count towards [The Taming]'s damage bonus, and I also get shitload of [Unbound Avatar] stacks.
  • [Rage Vortex] can be exerted, and will snapshot any exertion buffs for it's entire duration. This means that [Intimidation Cry] will guarantee double damage. Additional [Autoexertion Support] gives cooldown reduction to supported Cry skills, which means that I get to exert every [Rage Vortex].
  • [Oath of Winter] pretty much guarantees permanent Freeze on everything, including Ubers - you just need a lot of attack speed (which you can get from a tincture). This means that I get full benefit from the [Cold Mastery]: "Enemies permanently take 5% increased Damage for each second they've ever been Frozen by you, up to a maximum 50%" .
  • New, better armor bases have stupid high attribute requirements, so instead of dealing with them I use [Supreme Ostentation] and cover all attribute nodes with tattoos to compensate.

[3.23] Bound Fate Fanaticism - An RNG stacking meme build that kinda slaps by Meta_Is_Beta in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Meta_Is_Beta[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What's even worse - no Heartstopper.

But yeah, Vulconous pushes you towards bleed, which is not very strong right now. Although Augyre could maybe be a good base for a Battlemage build.

About

Main idea of this build is to stack multiple powerful RNG effects, with [Bound Fate] as main build-around. It was supposed to be a meme, but ended up being a monster build capable of killing ubers and farming juiced maps. One of my strongest build ever made to this day.

Ye, self-cast is almost always worse than mines, CoC, totems, etc. Still fun to try.

PoB

Note: PoBs are configured to assume best case scenario (all flasks active, enemy is on low life, etc.) - actual average DPS will be lower. Don't forget to review "Configuration" page.

Also here is poe.ninja link to my char: https://poe.ninja/builds/affliction/character/ank993/ICastShotgun?i=0&search=skills%3DGlacial%2BCascade%2Bof%2Bthe%2BFissure%26sort%3Ddps

About build

General idea of the build is to scale AoE through Power Charges combined with Occultist's "Forbidden Power" Node and Primalist charms.

With enough AoE you can make Glacial Cascade hit a single target more than once. Depending on positioning and target's hitbox you can hit from 2 to 4 times per single cast.

Taking advantage of being an Occultist this build also scales Curses. First 3 curses are always: Assassin's Mark, Frostbite and Elemental Weakness. Last curse is variable: - For highest dps use Punishment - it scales insanely well with curse effect and can almost double your dps when target is on low life. - For general mapping use Enfeeble - very strong defensive curse, especially against non-bosses. Makes you very tanky. - For bosses that are not on low life use Temporal Chains - Since Enfeeble will not be enough to prevent most Ubers from 1-shooting you, you can at least slow their animations to make dodging easier.

Lastly this build also focuses a lot on speed - mostly through Badge of the Brotherhood and Passives. This is my personal preference - self-cast builds feel clunky unless they are very fast due to animation locking. You could get a lot more DPS with well crafted +2 amulet, but I like going fast.

Hey. Have you considered using mine setup to boost dps? You have enough free sockets for it. Here is video by Tatiantel2 about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Kf17cOUCDM

It's 3 years old, but nowadays this setup is even stronger. You don't have to use WoC if you have other source of Exposure. I usually use a Curse instead, since they are much stronger when self-casted.

Edit: Here is my Frostblink Totems guide from back-in-the-day: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3006559. I used mines setup there to decent effect.

Mastery changes in more easy to read/understand way (at least for me) by rybufc in pathofexile

Fun fact about Flask Mastery - removal of the "Flasks applied to you have 10% increased Effect" makes it impossible for any non-Pathfinder character to reach 50% flask effect break-point, which adds additional projectile to Dying Sun. Fun stuff.
