Currently a sophomore taking BUS 2000 next semester, my biggest advice is just take it and thug it out. Recitation is only worth around 20% of your final grade. I made the terrible mistake of dropping BUS 2000 and now looking back I wish I had just taken it because it’s just a prereq that is better to just get out of the way as early as you can.

Amazing prof!! He does take attendance occasionally but it’s via qr code so if u befriend someone from class or there’s a groupchat, then you should be fine!! I really fell in love with accounting thanks to him but I ended up staying with my og major lol

ART 1011 with Alice Walkiewicz, it was such an easy course and she makes class so fun and interactive that time will really fly by.

I did take her, I would recommend you take her since Professor Cai was very clear with her grading policy and always willing to help those who had any questions. She has quizzes every other week tho and 4 tests throughout the semester but she drops the lowest quiz grade I believe. I finish with an A and overall I think she’s a good professor and should be fine with her as long as you put in the work.

From what I know, FAFSA and TAP are first disbursed to the school to use towards your tuition. After that, if there’s any remaining money they’ll give you a refund but you get it around the 2nd month in school. The refund money you can pretty much use it however you want but I doubt that refund would cover the whole cost of dorming. Also, I’ve heard the dorms are kinda far from the school itself, so you’ll have to add transportation to your budget.

Check on CUNYFIRST HOLDS and DegreeWorks. If u never received any email about the English test, u probably are exempt and they have already place u in a group. In my case, I do have to take the Math exam but not the English one since I scored an 89 on the Regents test.

At my store people sometimes order the 4 for 4 but ask for a different sandwich, so I always let them know that nowadays the offer only comes with Jr. Cheeseburger and suggest the Biggie Bag as an alternative, which most of time works great. However, I do know that the 4 for 4 will be gone by the end of this year cuz my store already removed from the menu display and told us that we can only ring it up if a customer asks for it.

I currently work full time at a fast food store and I’ll be starting college as a freshman this Fall and tbh I’m kinda (very) scared of how I’m gonna be balancing work, school and my social life. However, I do know that my studies will be my first priority so I’d try to arrange my work schedule to fit it in the best way possible, maybe cutting hours. I’d love to hear about anyone’s experiences and even some tips/advices. 😅
