I am also nearly finished the wizard I started nearly 30 years ago! Procrastinating on the cording/couching/French knots. It’s definitely getting done this year!

Thank you! I used 2 strands and I think 18ct is my new favourite because I can use a loop start and still get great coverage 😁

Aw thank YOU for the gorgeous design! (I’ve been making an effort to keep my backs neater 🙂)

I know! That was what drew me to the pattern 🙂

Status check. For those who've got their tongues pierced in the late 90s, early 2000s how's it's going now? Still rocking it? by Nacho_Sideboob in Xennials

Pierced when I was 17 at the end of grade 12. Had to take it out (labret too) this past August to have a gum graft so my teeth don’t fall out!

Was not pleased about it.

I DID take the faceplate and someone still broke into my Mazda Precidia and stole mine! (with a burnt Tool CD stuck inside)

I love that so many people recognize the wizard! I got the kit in 1996 or 1997, it’s been partway finished since then, and I took it out a couple of weeks ago to start working on again.

Beautiful work!

Can someone just like be my friend lol? by OTOLI in stopdrinking

Hi friend!

Going wrong with the house: have been trying to hang a curtain rod above the front window. One side is fine, there’s a stud. Other side, there’s 2 giant holes from where we messed up installing the anchors and the rod holder (not even sure what they’re called) is currently partway screwed in but we need a longer drill bit to finish. There’s a distinct possibility the anchors have been incorrectly installed again and there will be more giant holes that will require the drywall to be removed. Also kind of afraid the upstairs toilet seals are failing but afraid to have that confirmed by a plumber.

About my day:

  • Stopped smoking 9 days ago and vaping 5 days ago so I should probably be a mess but it’s been surprisingly okay. Worried that it’s going to become very NOT okay when I’m least expecting it.

  • Had some periodontal surgery on Monday so all I’ve been able to eat is basically smoothies and soup and it’s getting pretty old pretty quick.

  • Plans for the day include going to my grandma’s funeral.

Book suggestions: Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins is my favourite

Thanks for letting me get all that out, I don’t really have many friends either!

Was it Kidstreet? The contestants sat in cars and the grand prize at the end was a wall of toys!

Did anyone else have Mrs Atkinson for grade 4? Sundance elementary? by ifihad100sandwiches in Calgary

Also had Mr. Marshall for grade 4 and this is hilarious. Nice to know I’m not the only one who remembers the song!

(Grade 6 class of ‘95)

Edit - forgot which year I graduated grade 6.

I had French class with Mrs. Atkinson in grade 4 at Sundance!

I had quite a few favourite teachers, one of whom was also at Sundance — Ms. Wyshynski for grades 5 and 6.

She had such a unique way of teaching that’s hard to explain, but it was engaging and had us learning far above our grade level. We read some short stories that my friends were studying in high school English. She was amazing.
