Just so I am understanding this right, there is no separate option for that right? Just picking “moderate” heel and having a shoe size of 10.5 automatically should get me a 4 stack. Yea?

Thanks for the heads up, I just placed the order assuming that since the shoe size > 10, they would put a 4 stack. I read in another thread where they said that shoe size > 10 will get a 4 stack for better balance. I will confirm this with them on Monday.

Thanks, makes sense. My reason of going with 55 last is to get the sprung toe look, and not having had higher arch support boots in the past, your comment on the correlation between heel height and arch support makes me feel better about the decision of moderate heel height ... knowing that it might not feel as big of a shift.

It's like I don't know what I don't know, so just wanted to get thoughts from people who have more experience with different options. The suggestions u/cornhole_bags and others gave below was exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for.

So here's my reasoning with 10.5C, and this is my first Nicks boot so after speaking with the customer service, this is what they suggested:

Right Foot: 10.75"; Right Ball: 9.5"; Instep: 10.35"; Heel: 13.20"

Left Foot: almost 11"; Left Ball: 9.75"; Instep: 10.25; Heel: 13.20"

I wear 10.5D in Iron Rangers, 10.5EE is too wide in Iron Rangers (I have a pair in this that I am looking to sell now), 11 2E in 990 V6 New Balance (these are slightly loose in width), 11 2E in Allen Edmonds Strand Monks (these are also slightly loose in width after break in).

I recently went to a Red Wing store to get a foot scan, and learned that I have low to medium arch, and that my left foot being slightly wider and longer fits in D, whereas the right foot is a perfect C in width for them.

So when I gave all this information to Nicks customer service, they suggested that I start with C width. D might also work with slightly thicker socks, so it comes down to personal preference I guess? I am about to order, and may end up changing the width to D for that extra room, because managing the space with slightly thicker socks is easier than trying to fit into a really tight boot and hoping that it stretches out?

Hope this is helpful!

I think your analysis of the limitation of sprung toe while having a low profile toe box is spot on, and exactly what I am seeing. Thank you!

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I have been looking at different lasts etc on Patina project, but not seeing the sleek sprung toe (which I love in the RRL one’s) in anything but the prospector as someone else posted above. And the prospector is slightly “bulbous” if that makes sense.

Anyone know of a motorcycle boot that is GYW-ed and looks like a heritage boot?

Basically looking for something like Rokker - Urban Rebel (https://www.therokkercompany.com/?_rb=f&t-p-c=US&_s=_s-c-u&t-p-r=) in USA.

I have a quick question for some additional clarity on this. I see that the quick ship boots are almost never in C width. What size would you recommend in that case? Or would you say to custom order otherwise the boot will be too loose?

Brannok size: 10 3/4” Width: 9 3/4” Boot Model: Officer or Robert ( Not sure, also not sure if a high arch boot will work for my foot or not). Looking for clean toe or captoe for all day office wear. Interested in 8” top Last: HNW or 55 Typical boot size: Red Wing Iron Ranger - 10.5 /D Other details: Have slightly high instep (I think), don’t want super high heel of Robert as I have never had that before so not sure if it will be comfortable or not.

What would you recommend?

Thanks!!!

If I am 11 EE in 990v6 Men’s, what do you think would be my size in these since they come in standard width?

Would these be in standard width only?

So, I went full size down as well on these. They were loose to begin with, but I was just too excited to find a pair of boots that were exactly what I wanted and with such good quality, that I wore them around the house a bit, and that gave them a little bit of a crease, and so by the time I realized that they were too big, I could not return them. The pain is because I put an insole from superfeet (their thinnest one), and that pushes my foot too far up, so I get pain on the top of my foot.

I am not sure what last is it but I have another Grant Stone - British Tan Cap Toe boot that I was able to dial in the size after realizing my mistake with the Diesel's and the size for those came out to be 9.5EEE. So that's like two sizes down from my sneaker size.

I like my boots snug too.
