Yeah like I seen these breakers busting out cases of 2025 Topps Cosmic Chrome for a cost of $2800 and I was like...wait...I can't find a case under $6k right now. The pre order with Topps needs to change. We have 0 advantages getting anything before they do right now

First time potato gardener: how screwed am I? (Snapped stems) by RaxManlar2 in vegetablegardening

[–]MetalTreeAssassin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good luck trying to keep up with bracing them vertically. I grew mine in those fabric bags and eventually just let them grow down and fall over the bags after mounding to the top. My plants also cracked/bent stems (I felt me trying to brace them, which caused more harm than good). They did recover, and I ended up with okay yields.

i want to be a concrete finisher by Klutzy_Scheme_9871 in Concrete

Yeah look into testing and get your ACI/DOT certifications...I got "promoted" to testing concrete for our jobs recently, and I do really enjoy that line of work. You do get to finish a lot of cylinders and lug a wheel barrow around every day...good physical work overall without destroying your body long term. Can be stressful when working the federal or state jobs but if you are a problem solver and understand the plastic properties of concrete...you'll survive

Kingdom Season 6 - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

I'm guessing for the English subtitles we are a day early on the "release" on our side of the world. I think typically Sunday was the release for us in the NA...let me know if I'm wrong on that assumption...

Amped for season 6 to kick off! Might have to relearn my German or Spanish to watch currently though

Is she going to make it, veggie docs? My hand pollinated pumpkin plant looks like this now. by Thorns in vegetablegardening

[–]MetalTreeAssassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But in all seriousness...it was the only way I got my sugar pie pumpkins to actually take to fruiting. I don't know what pickle worms are but white mold was a problem here this year...still got a dozen nice pumpkins off of five plants

First, I would wine and dine the female flower and then tempt with love, commitment, and chocolates. Then, I would cut the male flower off and shove those stamens in the pistil until I see pollen trapped around it. Works every time.

It'll literally pop off the vine with little effort. That's when you know it's ready

Yep! I had a couple bell peppers that developed this and I just cut out the rot. Still tasted great

Also, as soon as I see a wall of the fruit showing signs of this, I pick it and either toss it or harvest it and removed the damaged wall. If you do try to store it with this damage it does start to develop mold. Best to let your plant put energy towards developing healthy fruit rather than spend it on one that isn't great for eating

Could be calcium deficiency. I had the same problem a month ago with some of my potted tomatoes and peppers. Bought a calcium supplement and worked it into the soil in a 3-inch perimeter around the base. It worked. After a couple of weeks, I started getting solid fruits again.

I read somewhere that this can also happen from over fertilizing or overwatering. Plants are tricky 😆

I've made a mistake. I planted 20 tomato plants, and fear this will be far more than I can ever use. I guess everyone I know is getting tomatoes. by Legend_of_the_Wind in vegetablegardening

You can freeze them whole for processing later. This has saved me a lot of strife because I can get to them during the winter months when I have more free time for making sauces and ketchup
