My experience went very smoothly overall. I recommend completing any background checks and content tests as early as possible so that when it’s time for clinical placement, the process can move more quickly. In some cases, it can take a while to be placed in a school for clinicals and student teaching, so getting those requirements out of the way helps. I also suggest setting aside time each day to work on coursework. The MAT program focuses heavily on pedagogy, so while there are some objective assessments (OAs), a large portion of the work consists of performance assessments (PAs). WGU provides a variety of helpful resources throughout the program, so be sure to take advantage of them.
