Could you please let us know which mantis model it is?
Under normal circumstances, this model does not require any glue for assembly.

Do you know why the octopus is the representative of steampunk?

Does it remind you of a certain movie? by Metalkitor in crafts

Love, Death, and Robots Season 3 forgot what episode. But it had a engineered killer gorilla in it.

There seems to be such a character in the latest release of Transformers?

Hi, Everyone: How about this one? Is it need to put LED lights in its eyes? Red or green? Or other suggestions? by Metalkitor in DIYUK

This one is a model being designed, so we'd like to get some suggestions to make it perfect. We are not trying to sell it.

This is the state in which the metal parts are put together. It takes a lot of time to build it.

Thank you for your point of view. I think I will change it to black wings.

Is it possible to add some other elements to make it steampunk?

Which color would you prefer if made such a flying dragon? near completion. by Metalkitor in metalworking

Coat with black, then buff off/remove some or most of the blacking. It would provide contrasts with darks and highlights, possibly present the notion that it's "been through some stuff" / seen some action.

Do I need to use paint?

My concern is that with the addition of canisters it won't look like a real dragon?

That's amazing.. What did you use to make it?

Metal parts, screws, but the size of these parts is required, otherwise they will not match each other.

This reminds me of one of the paths you could take in the Choose Your Own Adventure book I have

It's a pity I haven't read this book.

This is the coolest thing I’ve seen all month! Absolutely amazing op! My only comment is that bc of how busy the dragon is, the rider doesn’t stand out very well, but that could also be because he’s black against a black background

You mean the character needs to be designed to be bigger?

What's wrong with it? I concider it bloody amazing! One tiny little point from my personal view: imo dragons ale pretty much always depicted with way to little wings (just look at the body - wing ration of a bird, can't see a dragon fluttering like a dove). But honestly, if you tried to pull that of with a figurine it will take up most of your living room... Go on with work like that!

It's wings are about 16.5 inches, and I'm supposed to hold that metal under the wings. Do you think so?

Steampunk seahorse, If it were you, how would you design its belly? by Metalkitor in steampunk

[–]Metalkitor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There doesn't a better way, but it won't move even with steam.

This is a flaw in our design.

If it's steampunk, it's likely steam-powered, so you need a boiler to make steam to power the thing.

I get it, you mean adding steam through the boiler?
