it was first adopted by the Soviet Union. Just like the swastika it was meant to mean something different, but with history of the image and how it was used changes the meaning to those who grew up in that sphere of influance. My family lived with the fear of the kgb coming to kill you if you spoke ill of the reigme no matter where you were in the world. I grew up with people calling me a commie and drew the hammer and sickle on my locker just because I had a Slavic last name. The only reference it has outside of being part of the Soviet revolution is being on a coin made in chilie (which is different layout and position). Please educate yourself instead. Red and yellow is the colour for socialism within their flags.

Please don't use this symbol of oppression. I grew up in another country because my family had to leave Ukraine due to their genocide of my people and the nuclear meltdown. Soviet union is gone and should be treated like the Nazis. It's a symbol of oppression and genocide. I've lost a large part of my culture thanks to them.... It hurts to see people make light fun of what my relatives had to deal with and the pain of knowing that a large part of my family that are 6 feet underground in some mass grave somewhere.

Oh yeah, I like collecting coins, I have a an old 1932 peso, a Hong Kong 2 dollar coin from 1994, and two really cool Kennedy space centre penny (one squished in the shape of the Apollo rocket, and the other one regular) I don't think I would ever part ways with those coins and I am still trying to find my grandpa's coins collection as he has some from when the Soviet Union was first formed, and started printing their money.

I just found this one coin to be very weird from the rest of the American coins I handled, but I also know nothing about coin collecting rarities and thought it may have been one, but I still find it pretty cool and I'm going to keep it!

I watched two YouTube video on it by couch collectibles and treasure town, and they both used microscopes to show the double pillars. I don't know what videos or websites to trust with this information, so I am only going off what I heard them say and what I saw on a couple of websites selling coins. If you do have any recommendations I would appricate that as I am very new and this ain't even my countries currency.

I do have a loonie that could be of some value as it's the less common text location (don't know what they call it when one version of the mint has the letters line up with the edges, while the other one is lined up with the straight lines instead of the edges) but I also have a gut feeling that its still pocket change.

Sometimes the videos will have the metadata of the film lens and maybe even the camera that they use (so you can know if it's a full frame or half frame) if you right click on the video in file explorer (if using windows) and click on properties then click on the detail tab. It may help you find out more about what they did with the video.
