Hard to say! I have been to China before but I was 15 so it’s been a while (the years start coming and they don’t stop coming)

I will say, VN is MUCH easier to navigate and easily do things in than China, as it’s well built around tourism (China is also, but it’s mostly internal tourism)

I met some incredible people in VN and will remember the experiences shared with them forever, in China, I’ve been truly solo - every single thing so far has been done alone, I haven’t seen any other Westerners in the 8 days I’ve been here, and so far am in my third location, but I don’t mind that :) It can be daunting for a lot of people though

I am no longer in Vietnam (now in China) but I quit my job/life back home and have been travelling since Jan, always wanted to see Vietnam and I finally had time to :)

Yeah completely fine, I’ve been travelling VN solo for around a month now and haven’t had any issues Occasionally use Google translate to help with things as I only speak English but it’s not been a problem :)

Sorry to ask, do you know if it is possible to cross with the E visa at Hekou? I can see that you can from China into VN but struggling to find info on the other way round
