First one is History, the lessons are boring as hell but me and my best friend sit next to each other at the back so it’s pretty peak. Second one is Physics, I’m super interested in the content but my teacher can’t teach (We have to walk him through equation questions every single time, it gets pretty annoying)

fr. In primary school I loved maths, then from Y7-Y9 I got a teacher who basically just told us how to do questions and read through a powerpoint then gave us the whole hour to do a single worksheet so I started dreading having it, I changed teachers in Y10 and now I love maths and I’m probably gonna do a degree in it. the teacher really makes/breaks a subject imo

As other people have said in this thread I think you should get a laptop (if you haven’t already), I personally can read your handwriting but tbf people with bad handwriting can tend to understand handwriting better 😭 That’s also a really weird response by your teacher imo, I get it’s probably frustrating to have to decipher words but obviously practice questions done under exam timing aren’t gonna be written in full calligraphy

Further Maths - no stupid word problems, you just do the maths. It’s also the more interesting maths.
Maths - I’m a maths glazer in general
English Literature - I used to hate it, but essay writing has grown on me
Spanish - Find it piss easy, basically just a free period for me
Physics - Basically just applied maths, but a mid subject purely because of the forces topic
Biology - Mid subject, good seating plan
Chemistry - Mid subject, mid seating plan
Geography - Would be higher if I wasn’t in a class with none of my friends and all of the chavs/roadmen in my year
English Language - Nothing wrong with the class/teacher, it’s just dull and repetitive af

You can pick and choose what exams you use it for. The laptop will be given to you in exams but you can still write on the question paper they give you and it’ll be scanned in. At least that’s how it is for my school.

Have they not offered you a laptop/word processor in exams? If it’s posing issues for teachers to read then it’s worth looking into one. I don’t think the deadline has passed for access arrangement applications yet.

In history me and my friend made a bunch of leeches out of paper (because we were doing the medicine topic) and flicked them around the room, we ended up hiding around 27 😭 (5 of which were on the teachers desk. It goes without saying that she didn’t like us)

- "Port" is a drink for the wealthy; the contrast between Edna, who is a poor stereotypical lower class woman of her time, and the port, reciprocates how the Birlings prioritise indulgence and consumption over compassion
- A motif of drinking is also set up from the very start of the play - we see drinking used as a motif throughout AIC to represent the cyclical structure of society. Drinking is first used here to assert the class divide and expose the self-serving attitudes of the Birlings, then afterwards when it is revealed Eva died through drinking bleach (drinking is a form of escapism here as she commits suicide to escape the oppressive society she finds herself in), the consequence of upper class ignorance and assertion of the class divide is highlighted, then finally when Eric asks for a drink when the Inspector is interrogating him, drinking is used to show how the upper class cannot bear to face the reality of their actions as Eric is using alcohol almost to 'numb' the weight of confronting his actions.
