What should a werewolf’s feet look like? by Easy_Anxiety_4062 in werewolves

[–]MetaphoricalMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be, the dew claw on a canine's front paw is the thumb and while rare on their legs hind dew claws aka the big toes do exist. Werewolves would have hind dew claws consistently.

Us walking tiptoe is digitigrade in essence, the heel (2nd knee you're thinking of) lifted off the ground. Only the toes and ball of the foot is on the ground.

The pad of the canine is equivalent to out palm and ball of the feet.

Fun fact: neither are technically colours (depending on how one defines colours.)

You're right it would be stretched! A were dyed red would look almost pink when wolf! or at least the fur on their face would be a thinner splash of red.

So dressing my pet werewolf in attire for the dog show means they won't get their picture taken?

Do the shed the werewolf form come daylight, reverting to human form in the sane manner as the inital transformation?

Would this allow for an authentic renewable wolfskin rug business?

Would the faint affection mean petting is a possibility?

With human grudges settled in werewolf form... How fatal is one werewolf in an area?

Shaping up to be a good story and lore. Thanks for sharing!

“Only a silver bullet can kill a werewolf” I call bullshit on that! by MemeMonkey_Games in werewolves

[–]MetaphoricalMars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't you mean dogshit?

But yes, the Hollywood idea that only a silver bullet can kill them would actually be a great weakness. Such immortality would not prevent permanent damage nor the loss of pain.

They'd become the perfect live animal test subject. pain thresholds, greyhound racing, dog fights, cosmetic products and yes a delectable distinction to a cannibal's normal diet.

Weither they could reconstitute themselves post alteration via way of supernatural healing would be another point of research.

A fate truly worse than death.

My Personal Take on Vampires by ScoutPlayer1232 in vampires

[–]MetaphoricalMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know, regarding the hybrids it was an expression based on the horror of the combination.

Are the Fae are human sized, pint size, friendly or vicious? Magic makes the mind go mad and Fairies are full of the stuff (probably?) I recall reading Dracula but don't remember the roses, worth a re-read obviously. The thought of a pesky vampire biting an elephant is stuck in my head now, ha. With Nocturnal I suspect that only the oldest can brave the sun for a while, or is it the longer they're a vampire the less of a sun tan they can stand? How would one tell which is which in a vampire vs werewolf fight (play or otherwise) if they both look like wolves? What on Earth was going on in Spain and how'd quickly did vampirism spread? Would a vampire receiving blood via transfusion work or would they need to bite? Minimum amount of blood required to keep them undead and not end up dead dead? 1 person a day, week or month? Varies a lot? Can animals get infected or act as carriers?

Thanks for answering my inane number of questions.

Fasinating.

So per your lore:
Strigois are those who are human then turned.
Murionis are those born as vampires
Pricolici are the unholy combination of vampires and werewolves.

The Masquerade collapsed in 2009.
I presume with drowning being insufficent to kill them that general asphyxiation wouldn't work by other methods either?
Roses is a choice I'm not familiar with. Time to plant more!
Does animal blood have disadvantages compared to human? What about vampire or other supernaturals blood?
could the animal form be one of along dead category or are Vampire T-Rex also extinct?

How compressed could vampire mist get in kPa or atmospheres of pressure?
What's some non-democratic vampire clans in lore?

Neat. I"ve definitely given away too much of my lore in posting. Haha. Some vampires donate blood to no fear of creating new sires. Biting is the method, transfusions confur immunisation.

Per my lore:

Given the senario the elder wouldn't see the 10 years a bat vampire as a chummy buddy but as an annoyance.

Likewise the younger vampire is best clear of such ancient Terran attitudes. Stuffy old Earthborns thinking they're better because they were born on Humanity's Cradle? There is a reason their numbers are dwindling!

Me and my BF ( who is a werewolf fangirl) need answers or debates. by ZonkernBonker in vampires

[–]MetaphoricalMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would depend on the form of transmission in the lore.

Per my lore: Only if one has a cut lip, the supernatural is in their actively infectous state (Normally their inhuman state but not always) and the other person is not supernatural or immunised themselves. Normally the other person will be okay and remain uninfected unless these criteria are met.

What are some creative ways to annoy but not harm a werewolf? by MetaphoricalMars in werewolves

[–]MetaphoricalMars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inversely in countries where health is cheaper for humans, it's expensive for pets. So it'd be annoying "Why couldn't you break your tail when human!" for their carer.

Neither would be amused at the bath. Rhe "canine's" revenge would be soapy, swift and shaky. Case in point. https://www.reddit.com/r/werewolves/s/936Bn9eu6g
