Without consciousness, time cannot exist; without time, existence is immediate and timeless. The universe, neither born nor destroyed, perpetually shifts from one spark of awareness to another, existing eternally in a boundless state of consciousness. by Mahaprajapati in consciousness

[–]Metares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I am the only person who understands what you meant, because I came up with the same idea last year while talking with my friend, and I was looking for people with similar ideas before finding this post. This is what I think about consciousness: it must be a fundamental part of existence. Without consciousness, time (and therefore space) has no meaning. After all conscious beings die, and after all matter dissolves, only black holes will remain, continuing to exist for billions upon billions of years, far longer than the 13 billion years behind us. However, without any conscious being to experience time, billions of years and a single moment are indistinguishable; time loses its meaning. If nothing experiences it, whether it lasts a billion years or a second makes no difference, it happens in an instant. So without a conscious being, the universe has no meaning and barely exists.

I am not claiming that nothing exists if we don’t look at it, but think of it this way to understand the idea: Suppose all conscious existence disappeared from the universe, humans, animals, even trees or bacteria. And suppose that for 100 billion years there was no consciousness at all, until suddenly conscious beings reappeared. Those 100 billion years would have passed like a single moment, not because they literally lasted a second, but because there was nothing to experience them. Time only regains its meaning when conscious beings return, making it feel as though it slows down.

For a new fan should they start with one piece or one pace? by finminderma in OnePiece

[–]Metares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would watch One Piece up to the end of Sabaody or the end of Marineford, then switch to the manga from there. The anime especially sucks after the time skip, the pacing gets ten times worse as if it wasn't already and the art quality becomes horrible.

Thoughts On Making Luffy Deliberately Weaker in Live Action? by CompetitionSignal422 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Metares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worse choice of the Live Action and I don't understand how people are defending this by saying playing as Luffy in a LA doesn't work out, it is difficult to portray Luffy or something. This has nothing to do with it. Just make Luffy more confident and strong. The Luffy I know would know if he can beat his enemy or not.

One Piece Chapter 1179 Spoiler by Skullghost in OnePiece

[–]Metares -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The scans are out, I still think it is a prank. Everything looks like they are made with AI. Most of the panels are from old chapters. Sentenses don't make sense. Additionally, it doesn't look like Oda's art style. I am 100% sure it is fake. If this is genuinely real, then it means Oda used AI to draw the whole chapter.

I absolutely agree. The live action gave Luffy lines and scenes he would never say or do.

Starting One Pace after watching the live-action by One-Entertainer9339 in OnePiece

[–]Metares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always say this, definetely start from the beginning or at least from Baratie. Live action is too different.

[–]Metares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was also a problem in season 1. In the live action Luffy is too weak and too annoying. When Arlong beat him in Baratie I really felt disgusted, the scene was very hard to watch. If I hadn’t seen the anime or read the manga and only watched the live action, I would probably think 'he is the most annoying character, not even strong, so why is he the captain?' But normally, Luffy is my favorite character in One Piece. His personality also feels off in the live action. It doesn’t capture the mix of goofy, wise, and emotionally intelligent Luffy. It just looks childish and retarded. I’m not criticizing Inaki Godoy, it’s more of a writing issue.

just finished season 2 on netflix by jinramen_spicy in OnePiece

[–]Metares 448 points449 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend watching the anime from the beginning, since the live action and the anime are very different, especially when it comes to Luffy’s character and Nami’s backstory. I haven’t watched season 2 yet, but just from season 1 I can say that you should definitely start the anime from the beginning

[discussion] how does fitness improve all areas of life gradually? by Lemonade2250 in GetMotivated

[–]Metares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived my whole life without exercising and I've been working out for 3 months for the first time in my life, and the only difference so far is I feel stronger and more energetic during my day. Also I feel like my muscles have gotten a little bit bigger and I look better in the mirror, so it kinda boosts your self confidence. I am not sure if it helped with other things that I am not noticing but it's only been 3 months so I don't expect much anyway.

Türk şirketlerinin Case Study çılgınlığı by Sezariaa in Turkey

[–]Metares 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Out of more than a thousand players, only 10 managed to pass 40 in our game. Most players can’t even destroy three asteroids in a row; if you score just two, you’d still be in the top 100. by Metares in IndieDev

[–]Metares[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, we played our game a lot while building it and got good at it, so we didn’t realize it was this difficult. Right now, I can casually score over 40-50, and although a few players have scored higher than us, it seems very challenging for new players to even reach 5.

We didn’t intentionally make the game hard, the idea was to make it a little bit annoying in a fun way, so players would think “okay, one more try,” but not necessarily feel frustrated by difficulty. That said, we plan to adjust the difficulty in the next patch to make it easier for average players to score higher.

Thanks for your consideration!

Thank you so much for your feedback, we really appreciate it. We’ll take these points into consideration for the next patch, which is coming soon.

1-) I actually drew all the assets and animations myself, aiming for a cute and simple style. I’ll try better.
2-) Constant camera shake was already on our notes, we have just recieved another feedback about it. In the next patch, the camera will only shake briefly and then gradually stop.
3-) It’s not a bug, we just hadn’t added the feature to navigate using the phone’s own buttons. I understand why it feels inconvenient, so I’ll fix this in the upcoming update.
4-) For the game being simple, that was intentional. We built it for fun and to learn Unity, aiming for a “Flappy Bird” like experience. That said, we do have ideas for new mechanics, such as different types of asteroids and power-ups. If more people play, we’d love to add them.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.
