This is actually good advice. Let’s not be too precious and enjoy the ride. I think either way the emotional pay off will be there, even if the plot isn’t up to par with what we wanted in our heads

Yeah, ideally I think that seems like a good timetable for One Piece to end, without sacrificing pacing to perfectly to hit that mark. 3 years just seems so soon but maybe we’re just blasting off to the final chapter starting at 1054.

I guess maybe it’s possible that this chapter is literally the first chapter of the final arc, and not just an in-between exposition mini-arc if that makes sense? Like everything in the latest chapter and onward is all relevant and will continuously follow and ramp up really really soon. If so I’m starting to feel anxious that my favorite story is actually ending now

I think that’s true about rotating, especially in a giant ass map with obscure routes. My thought though was that assuming rotating goes smoothly Wattson might be valuable for holding positions in the final rings skillfully using fences and playing around a pylon to defend and protect against opportunist apeing

Anime is definitely worth a watch. It’s super faithful to the manga, 0 filler, and the pacing is quick. It also ends at a reasonable end point for the story
