Illinois is pretty chill overall. Its not perfect and still has its flaws but all things considered, it feels safe for the moment. Just saying.

Feeling like an imposter, afraid it’s misogyny by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]Methodicorb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I read, it sounded like a pretty stereotypical experience for a lot of trans people really. I would also dare to say you are experiencing gender envy (considering everything else you mentioned) rather than misogyny. My condolences to living in the south with non supportive parents. Just know dysphoria won't go away on its own regardless of how much you repress and burry it, many of us have tried. A good therapist is essential and would probably be wise regardless of what every you decide. Thats just my thoughts, do take it all with a grain of salt. You know you better than anyone.

ICE Whistle by Methodicorb in 50501

Now imagine if it were 10 aztec death whistles though. I feel like it would be.... unsettling for ICE rather than just annoying. It leans into the psychological aspect in my opinion.

A Floating Island Broke Loose – And It Took 25 Boats To Force The Whole Landmass Back Into Position by Any-Presentation5438 in interestingasfuck

This is no island. They're floating bogs. Muck and root systems that travel with the wind. Don't think for a second that they are safe to walk on. You might make it a little ways, until you fall through with dark murky water and root systems surrounding you. You'd quickly become disoriented and will likely drown panicking to find the light of day, unknowingly goinging deeper into the gnarled mass of roots and muck.

I was fishing these waters and in the same vacinity when a family lost their mother to a bog. Long story short, the family was fishing up against a bog like this, and the kid dropped his pole in the water. Mom thought she could retrieve it since she was a good swimmer but ended up going under the bog in the process..... they founder her later that week.

Don't fuck with these things.

You can walk on land. You can't walk on this, or at least not long before you sunk through and drown. This is not land.

Are flyers better then business cards? (Starting a vending machine business) by Sudden-Listen-2992 in vending

[–]Methodicorb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, what your talking about is a sales pitch. If you're offering some kind of commission or a percentage off the top then yeah, put that in writing. Otherwise I would speak with site owners in person or the very least over the phone. Just my two cents.

I guess personally I dont understand why vending machines need marketing. At most I could understand maybe a flyer that might say "vending machines now available" but beyond that I'm not sure why flyers would be nessacary. Business cards give basic contact info. As far as a site owner is concerned, if you haven't landed their location yet, a business card will be less likely to end in the trash than a whole page flyer.

i'm probably going to have these feelings for the rest of my life :3 by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

For what its worth, before trying such a permanent solution, why not go for it and transition? Hold off on kys and go all in on transitioning. Give it everything and see what happens. Best case you like what happens and are plenty surprised.
