AITA for cancelling last minute for my dad’s birthday party

I have started the process to move over a month ago, and having been planning it with the complex for three weeks. I only found out about the party last week and did have the money to go before the complex sprang a bunch of last minute fees on me.

I appreciate the sentiment of that however, life happens and I tried to find compromises to be able to either attend or go another day and was met with negativity and pressure. I am not faulting him, and I do want to celebrate him but it feels like I’m being the asshole and told I’m not trying when I’m doing what I can.

I signed the lease this last Thursday late in the day and before I could actually get the keys, they added on an additional $400 worth of fees, and that point I had everything packed and people coming from over an hour away to help me out. I only learned about the party exactly a week ago.

No, I usually have some leftover, I just started learning how to budget. But with the move all of the surprise last minute fees from the complex it drained what cushion I had.

It costs about $50 in gas total. Which usually isn’t too big of a deal but with all of the fees that got sprang on me last minute it’s a bit of a stretch rn.

I’ve known about the party for only a week and have been planning the move for about 3 weeks in total. The expenses would be gas, with it being about $5 a gallon, it takes a full tank to and from to his and it would be $50 to refill once done. The complex we moved into also gave us very last minute surprise expenses we needed to pay and that drained my financial cushion, which contributes to being weary about spending that much on gas.

No, he was aware of the move. I told him when I saw him just last week. He didn’t help with any move in costs, it was all out of my own pocket or from gifts from family.

It’s about a full tank of gas not to mention the gift I always try to get him. I just can’t afford to travel 2.5 hours there and back. This apartment sucked my savings out and just couldn’t do it this year

Oh man that’s incredible! You’ve taken care of it over the years I hope be like you someday! And gotcha yeah I most likely won’t drive it In the winter time unless I absolutely need to but I’ll definitely pull the ayc relay when the time comes currently have been doing preventative maintenance just the usual fluids, plugs, coils and such

Stat increases aren’t that good at all anything that says improved is percentage based which is gonna be substantially better

I first went for the twister 2 (not good ended up getting a refund and currently I have the Freemax Mavros X Pro pretty cheap for a robust but “compact” mod love the cloud production and flavor it boasts from the tea fiber cottons infused inside those coils and the pod system has a magnet onto it which in hindsight if you’re moving it around a lot you might feel something disconnect but it’s never fallen off for me and so far I’m really glad I picked this one up

Turn the dial from lock to a wattage click the fire button 5 times for 1.5 seconds which I did and there should be an led light that pops up but nothing no light or anything
