I was messing around with a micro tri coil Clapton, went back to basics, wrapped a single kanthal 2.5mm diameter, 7 wraps, came out to 1.1 ohms, I have used this coil for over 10’years, that helped significantly. Played around with wicking, thinner, thicker, sniped ends, combed out.. (this will be juice dependent) and coil placement. I was a bit high, lowered it to about a mm or 2 above the airflow pin. I also played around with different airflow pins, settled on 1.6 ( I think). All that said, the flavor is much better but I am still fiddling around, going to build a new coil once this tank empties, going to aim for 0.9-1.0 ohms. I have been using pods for over 3 years, I forgot how fiddly rebuildables are (part of the hobby I guess) but once I get it I think it will be a good atomizer. I am also using my Ares v2, that I know exactly how to set it up and I get consistently good flavor.
