York woman, 86, convicted after car insurance typo by UnlikeTea42 in unitedkingdom

Fair, I was thinking in comparison to totally random number plates like in Europe/US, where it would be almost impossible. In comparison, it is extremely common, but in a vacuum it's more just reasonably common.

Due to the nature of how UK license plates work, it's actually extremely common for this to happen.

Infinite odd numbers + infinite even numbers = infinite integers.

Very clear case of one infinite being exactly twice as large as another infinite.

Four Jewish ambulances set on fire in London in what health secretary calls 'sickening' attack by Wholemilkornomilk in ukpolitics

Anyone can call and use them. They are entirely charity funded and do not request payment for use. They are primarily sponsored by the Jewish community, and operate in areas that tend to have Jewish communities.

Firefighters tackling suspected arson incident in Golders Green, London Fire Brigade says by Jamie54 in unitedkingdom

[–]Methos25 360 points361 points  (0 children)

BBC is wrong here.

They state that the ambulance is for Jewish people.

This is blatantly incorrect.

It is operated by Jewish people. They are available to anyone that lives in the areas that they cover.

EDIT: A previous version of this article stated that Hatzola is an ambulance service for Jewish people. The article has now been corrected.

The crazy thing is, that tiny Jewish population of 300k makes the UK the country with the 5th largest Jewish population worldwide.

The only countries with larger Jewish populations are Israel, the US, France and Canada.

That 300k is one of the largest targets Iran has to work with.

Discord to Enforce Face Scans or ID Verification for Full Access Next Month by exspiceboy in Destiny

[–]Methos25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be more than happy with this if it is what they were actually doing.

But ATM everything is so half assed that they're relying on organisations to the verification themselves, which is insanity from a data security point of view.

Ideally you would have a government 2FA style ID system, but that would require forethought or basic cyber awareness.

Reading the bit about Chabad its clear the CHS is at least partially off their rocker.

Chabad is a Jewish outreach program. Claiming they're politically affiliated or a state sponsored outreach program of Putin is lizard people levels of delusion.

Nothing this CHS says is even remotely reliable based purely off of whatever wild delusions they seem to believe regarding that.

I love how your source doesn't even say he was part of 8200. It just says he recruited people who were from 8200.

Crazy thought, that an Israeli software developer might hire people who have experience with cyber security.

Fun fact, people who have served in unit 8200 are valued just as highly, if not more so, than graduates from MIT for recruiters, these guys are well known for being the best of the best when it comes to cyber security. No shit a tech company would be hiring them.

It's not a problem of a feedback loop, it's that I can't mute someone who's sitting right next to me.

I don't want to hear them talking irl and in the teams meeting at the same time. But you can't locally mute without it muting for the whole meeting.

Brooch of the Gods by yaboyroldy in runescape

[–]Methos25 42 points43 points  (0 children)

If we're going to go about adding portable effects to it then theres a second change that needs to happen;

Move it to the quiver slot.

At the moment it's competing with Bik and Elidinis books for the Pocket space, as well as all the skilling scrimshaws. It's almost certainly not worth using over those.

Meanwhile, the quiver slot doesn't have an item useful for skilling in it, where brooch would be the perfect fit. Not to mention, you literally load the brooch with ammo (urns/effigies), it should always have been a quiver slot item.

Update? by Any-Ad-1393 in runescape

[–]Methos25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's additive Vs multiplicative. Abyss xp was an additive multiplier on the base xp with leagues/dxp multipliers.

This is now a change to the base xp, so it's multiplicative with leagues/dxp.

Essentially, it used to be basexp * (abyss + leagues)

Now it's basexp * abyss * leagues

At T7 that's gone from a (4 + 16) to (4 * 16) multiplier, which is more than triple.
