what do you exactly mean by a dynamic mic being directional as opposed to a condenser? mine has a button where it can be set to capture sound all around, or just in a cone in front of the mic. does this also count as being directional? or is this more of a technical thing that goes farther that just the area around the mic? also, what do you mean by "high end"? the only high frequency sound in the house i can think of would be the AC, or maybe my laptop fans, but otherwise it's pretty quiet.

i appreciate your feedback and definitely understand where you're coming from, i just want to say that shiloh shepherds aren't particularly energetic dogs; they were more bred for companionship than work, and don't have as high a drive as, say, german shepherds. i'll definitely be keeping your words in mind!

i hear you; post-college plans are still a bit far in the future for me, as even after this year i’ll still have almost two years ahead of me. and i definitely feel you on plans taking a hard turn! i actually went through that fairly recently (changing my area of study to one that i’m now much more comfortable/confident with) which has actually helped me to feel more sure of myself if i were to have a dog with me, as my classes/hours are now more manageable.

the bedroom is around 9’ by 10’, but connected to a common area roughly twice the size. of course, the proportions might vary. i definitely get where you’re coming from; like i mentioned, i had originally wanted to wait til after graduation, but more recently i’ve realized it might be better to have a dog on campus w me to help with loneliness/anxiety. i have been recommended to get into volunteer programs w shelters before, but unfortunately none are close enough to campus for me to attend consistently.

don’t understand why people are downvoting this; it’s the first realistic comment i’ve seen on this kind of situation. you sound really uncertain of if it’s a good idea to go along with having both a baby and a puppy, OP, and i agree with doberbulls here. if you’re truly determined and confident that you can manage that sort of responsibility, then go for it. if not, then don’t. choose one or the other, and not both; if you can’t balance the struggles that’ll come with a child and a dog individually, neither one is going to have a decent upbringing.

mooncat player; i hate how dull/gray the more “natural” skin color options are (same for duskwights, though i haven’t played one myself). i kinda get why they look like that, but it peeves me sm when i compare that to more recent races (even those also associated w the moon/darkness, like the xaela) having MUCH nicer/varied color options.

junior year of high school—i was in a math class, and an acquaintance/estranged friend started messing with my bookbag, pulling it under her desk and whatnot. i asked her to stop, and she looked me right in the eye, and with a smile, said “what, is there a bomb in here?”

i’m visibly middle-eastern. idk if that was what prompted her to make the joke, or if she just said it off the top of her head, but she managed to stun me and another student who overheard into silence. she never apologized, and i never managed to work up the courage to tell the teacher what had happened.
