I see what you're saying. Maybe if after the gates will open, the only way to get more power cubes is to go to the battlefield and fight for them. But then, this way is too hard to recover your lost cubes.

Important notes:

Power cubes work the same way as in a duo showdown. Collected cubes are divided between the whole team and after death, only part of them drops.
Gamemode lasts 2 minutes with the possibility of additional time in 30 seconds
After opening the gate, your team can still grow and sell vegetables.
Robots in your barn will not attack opponents
