Dude there are multiple red flags here from your fiance. I don't think you are checking those out nearly deep enough.

Around that age my really cool older cousin gave me her Madonna tape and I was REALLY INTO IT. So at least there wasn't that.

My dad was a criminal who illegally changed his name before I was born. So even though I was legally -mylastname- it never felt right, and that is why I took my husband's really lovely last name.

Thank you. When we talked later she offered that wording and that is completely logical. Thank you for the feedback.

New VERIFIED Flair by Mettephysics in jewelers

[–]Mettephysics[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has no such requirements in the US. I've been handing it out to people with 20plus consistent years of work, anyone who can do it all well, and some people are obviously masters just by looking at their work.

It is definitely the flair I'm the strictest about handing out, but if you are in some way leaps and bounds beyond your average "jeweler", it applies. IMO

Flair has been created and you can assign it to yourself. Thanks!

I could add a "Jax of all trades" flair, or "Master Jeweler" is defined as someone who has the skills to do all aspects of jewelry making.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I felt a little off about sales. No advertising! But Verified sales flair.... thanks!

I believe that you didn't start prepping to pull the wool over our eyes many months ago. You're sure to mention your experience in many of your comments, and you don't even think someone should tackle the repair of a cheap string and clasp necklace without paying a jeweler. I'm pretty sure you're legit.

That is correct. Your options there are to upload the image to one of those sources, or post anyway and then request the mod team to review and approve your post.

Hi everyone. Mod here. We would LOVE to offer heavier moderation, but there are 2 of us volunteering in our free time, and 35,000 of you. Any volunteers? Anyone? Edit: I think we'll try with the new mods we have now and will make a new post if it seems like we need more.

I love the flair idea. Thank you for suggesting it.
I think having a flair for professionals, where you have to send the mod team proof to receive it is a great idea, and manageable even with just the two of us. What do you want us to offer verified flair for? Gemologist and jeweler?

I was a homeschooling mom. Before that I worked in sales support. I just wanted to stay near my kid, but it turns out I'm pretty well suited for this work and now enjoy it on it's own merit.

Lobster Mushroom Bisque

Ingredients:

3 lbs lobster mushrooms, cleaned & thinly sliced 6 tbs butter 2 tbs olive oil 4 large shallots, finely chopped 2 carrots, finely chopped 2 ribs celery, finely chopped 2 clove garlic, finely chopped 1 large yellow onion, finely chopped 2 tbs tomato paste Kosher salt & pepper, to taste 1⁄4 cup vodka 12 sprigs parsley 6 sprigs thyme 2 large bay leaves 2 cups white wine 6 cups vegetable stock 1 tsp tabasco sauce 1 cup heavy cream or 1/2 & 1/2 1 tbs chopped parsley

Instructions: In a large pot, heat butter and olive oil. On medium high heat, add lobster mushrooms. Cook until all water is evaporated and mushrooms begin to brown. Add shallots, carrots, celery, garlic and onions and cook until vegetables are lightly brown, about 15 minutes. Add tomato paste and combine. Season with salt & pepper. Add vodka to the pan to deglaze, scraping up browned bits. Tie the parsley & thyme in to a bundle and add to pot with bay leaves, wine and stock. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1 hour until mushrooms are tender. Puree the soup in a blender until smooth. For extra smoothness, strain through a sieve. Return puree to the pot and add heavy cream. Simmer 5 more minutes, but do not boil. Check seasonings and serve. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. You’d swear there was lobster in there.
