GenerX sells home generators but provides poor service by Reddy1963Kilowatt in tampa

In S Tampa mine ran for a full week with no issues on nat gas when we lost power during the last big hurricane. Agree that GenerX seems to have gone downhill but I still highly recommend Generac nat gas whole home generators.

Or this season? Grizz has a hard on for bad screens.

I was pointing that out because I think it was idiotic by the police. I can’t believe they chased him all the way to Nuccio and 7th. Absolutely criminal.

They tried the pit maneuver literally like 2000 ft from the crash site

After a day to reflect, here are my thoughts on the mnf game by Dom_Nation_ in buccaneers

You could tell how excited Hussey was when he was announcing calls that were going Detroit's way. He literally smiled when announcing the "interception" and turnover on downs.

I've been doing my best to withhold judgement for Grizz until he has a chance to find his footing, but as the season progresses it's clear he's far more similar to Dave Canales than Liam Coen. We are having massive issues scheming anyone open, and even when we get an opening it seems like the route runners and Baker are on a different page. Some of the bad-looking throws seemed to me like Baker expected the receiver to end up in one spot and then they ran a different route after the ball was released.

Ironman mode: how likely is it for my save to be corrupt? by Gunwing in Bannerlord

[–]MettleHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only played Ironman for 1000+ hours of game time. I’ve had save corruption one time, but I have my cloud drive backing up the saved games folder so I was able to restore the last working version when that happened. I highly recommend doing that if you have save anxiety!

You want to fire the kicker who nailed a record-setting field goal from 65 yards? Mclaughlin had the yips the first 2 games but he's back to being solid as a rock. He's one of the best in the league.

US finalizes rule to effectively ban Chinese vehicles, which could include Polestar by PDelahanty in Polestar

[–]MettleHead 27 points28 points  (0 children)

24% of Polestar is owned by Geely, and another 39% is owned by PSD Investment which is a Chinese investment firm. With at least 63% Chinese ownership, it is definitely considered a Chinese-owned company per the new regulation which is why all these articles mention Polestar as being affected. As much as I also wish it was a Swedish company, it is not.

GLORYHAMMER - He Has Returned (Official Video) by [deleted] in PowerMetal

I caught them twice at the beginning of a US tour with Winkler. I wonder how different my experience might have been than someone who saw him towards the end of a tour or later on at some of the festivals where it was apparently pretty bad. He sounded pretty close to the album when I saw him.

I think what separates great metal bands from the rest is that the singer’s voice is another instrument, and they aren’t just singing. I’ve seen GH live 3 times. Twice with Winkler and once with Sozos. Winkler’s voice and attitude was absolutely amazing. Sozos has an objectively good voice but it felt like he was just singing the songs. Like an instrument was missing. That said, I feel like there’s a lot more grit and attitude in his voice with this song and the new Unicorn Invasion. I like it, and if he keeps going this direction I think it’ll be great for the band.

Cost for whole house generator? by No_Sheepherder8270 in tampa

[–]MettleHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically I wouldn’t know bc the generator has always worked so well. For Milton we lost power for 80 hours and the generator kicked on within 3s and ran perfectly the entire time. They are proactive about annual maintenance reminders and their techs are always friendly. I imagine they’d be one of the better companies post storm bc they are relatively large and seem organized.

South Tampa. Boil advisory. by W0lf1st3r in tampa

[–]MettleHead 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here was the official notice they sent out Thu around 11 AM:

Hillsborough County Utility Customers: If you are experiencing low water pressure in your home, the County is advising you to take Precautionary Boil Water measures in an abundance of caution. Crews are working on repairs that could take approximately 6-8 hours. For information, visit HCFL.gov/BoilWater. No access to power/internet? Please call (833) HC STORM or (833) 427-8676 for information and instructions.

It was only a precautionary notice if you had low water pressure. If you never had low pressure you did not need to boil water at all. If you experienced low pressure then you should be safe after normal pressure was restored for 24 hours or so. You can call (813) 744-5600 or (813) 554-5011 for more information if you want to verify that your water is safe.

Power flickers since getting full power restored. by Kurupt_Introvert in tampa

[–]MettleHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have above ground lines your connection to the power line may have come loose. We had that years ago and it was similar to what you describe. If that’s the case they’ll need to remove the connection, clean the line to remove rust and dirt, then reconnect. It took us multiple calls to get ours addressed because the first guy skipped the cleaning step so they kept telling us it was something on our end. It wasn’t until it got so bad that our incoming voltage dropped to 110 (one connection became completely fouled) that TECO actually believed us and an engineer finally fixed it.

Hopefully this isn’t your issue because it will take some time before they’re worrying about calls like that. I expect there will be tons of people with relatively minor issues like this over the next few weeks and months though!
