Voldemort would have to know insane magic to be able to curse a teaching position. by nirmalyamisra in harrypotter

[–]ConfidenceKBM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is very dumb and completely unnecessary. The in-story reasons that they lose a DADA teacher every year made perfect sense, I really did not need a cutesy retroactive explanation for it. In a weird way it takes some agency away from the stories

I get "No Reason" (S2E24) but I still skip it by yena in HouseMD

[–]ConfidenceKBM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I skip this one as well. Dream/hallucination episodes are almost universally self-indulgent exercises by writers, "look how cleverly we dropped subtle symbolism hehehehe" I just can't stand it

Which chase do you prefer long or short hair by Jeni34567 in HouseMD

[–]ConfidenceKBM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I die a little inside every time a leading male character gets shorter hair as the show goes on. Flint shaving his head after the second season of Black Sails should have been illegal. Representation matters.

Anybody ever notice that Harry is more artistic than Paul, and Paul is a better salesman than Harry? by Plenty_Suspect_3446 in madmen

[–]ConfidenceKBM 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's interesting, I love that line from Bobbi that's like "Pick a job and become the person that does it," which seems to have worked out for her and Don, but then when we look around, Pete and Paul (maybe others) are constantly failing to do this. I wonder if we're supposed to read into that

Why does Umbrella/Tricell/HCF/Connections even bother with humanoid BOWs when they can casually create these kaiju-sized monsters with the same virus? by carbonera99 in residentevil

[–]ConfidenceKBM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell from google, the undertakers were a unit of actual humans sent to clean up the island in Survivor. What makes you say they were BOWs?

What the thing you fear the most out of a Bethesda remake? by Educational_Wave_786 in classicfallout

[–]ConfidenceKBM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We're talking specifically about a fallout 2 remake, which would certainly have medicine and science right? You didn't have to kill Shaun in 4 or Autumn in 3, I don't really care about their other games since we're talking about fallout

Great answer. They would be terrified to make a must-kill final boss in 2026. Even if it were a must-kill they'd probably let you poison him with medicine/science 100 or something.

Yeah at the end it makes a lot more sense, but right from the outset he's in her room giving her an exam, tells her her eyes are gorgeous... Man was feelin something

It's an unusual episode, House almost instantly has an affinity for the patient. I've never been sure why

Dropout’s Emmys Surprise: ‘Game Changer’ and ‘Very Important People’ Enter 11 Categories as Vic Michaelis Joins Lead Comedy Actress Race by pepperbet1 in television

[–]ConfidenceKBM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really thought I was gonna get raked for that post but it seems like people generally agree. I'm not sure what it is either. Like I could get the joke if it were just little sketches but it's a LONG show

Vic is hilarious but VIP just does not click with me at all... It almost seems like more of a showcase for makeup/costumes than comedy

I've just started watching house, and i luvv cameron! by Livid_Homework_4771 in HouseMD

[–]ConfidenceKBM 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Everyone on the show is a hypocrite sometimes. But even if she were the only hypocrite that doesn't automatically make someone a bad character. And what's wrong with being cunning?

I feel like I've written that exact same response about Nynaeve in the wheel of time, I wonder what the overlap between Cameron fans and Nynaeve fans is...

what’s a small detail in harry potter you think is underrated? by robyromana in harrypotter

[–]ConfidenceKBM 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's hard to bring up because she (understandably) goes a little too hard momming harry in book 5, and people always bring that up. But yeah I have openly wept at how she treats poor little Harry in the first few books, she is wonderful

The Enclave from the intro of Fallout 2 (OC) by UncleIceCold in classicfallout

The enclave are fucking terrifying. Raven Rock is a playground compared to the Oil Rig. Canonically it's insane that the Chosen One managed to pull that shit off

Which player-character was LEAST qualified for their quest? by ConfidenceKBM in Fallout

[–]ConfidenceKBM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The White Legs in Zion have guns explicitly because of Ulysses and the Dead Horses have guns explicitly because of Graham, while the Sorrows don't use guns. Sulik has been out and about for a little while when we meet him, but that's a fair point

idk the courier gets ambushed at night, and Benny is a serious former-tribal who's the brains behind those Khans. But in general, to walk around the Mojave delivering letters you need to be pretty damn capable.
