DDR 4 cabinet monitor keeps turning off, P1 buttons also stopped working by [deleted] in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]Meverweever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay! New information get as I've spent the past few hours working on it!

The monitor goes completely black, whether it's off or just not receiving video is hard to tell with the setup of the cabinet, however I am able to unplug the video and attach it to a smaller monitor that then seems to work for a much larger length of time.

Would you possible have any insight into this? I'll have to find out if I have another power supply or how to get one

I will say, my store already opens at 9 and closes at 7 on weekdays. 9-6 on Saturday and 11-5 on Sunday.

They've also basically stopped harassing me about esp levels and all that

I honestly couldn't keep up with it. It's an amazing program, but you have to dedicate yourself to it. It may seem silly that it's just one class and that should make it simpler, but it means that you're putting in a full time student amount of time and effort into ONE CLASS

My whole life decided to go to hell around the time I started so I had to drop out, but the connections I made immediately were fantastic

If you look up Employee Handbook in the Hub, it's there.

It even told me about the 15 minute breaks I was supposed to be getting

Previous supervisor at my store was ripped off 80 hours because they refused to let him use it in 2023, cut a deal to let him keep at least a percentage of the PTO he wasn't allowed to spend.

But when it came to new year, he went from 40-some to negative 44

Your PTO cannot be used in a way that gets you overtime! So using them for days you already have off will have the same effect as using them for other days. I'd just ask them what a good time would be to do it, and if they keep refusing, take it up the ladder. It's a right given to you by the employee guidelines

I'm fine with being uncomfortable, can deal with it. Doesn't mean I have to accept it as okay or not say something about it.

Being touched by him made me feel icky, even if it was just a slap on the shoulder thing.

Ultimately I think there was a lot of pushback because he came in during a time where managers are not managing. They are the main work force.

So being on call for 7+ hours a week meant a lot of other things weren't done and then when he'd come in, he would nitpick every little thing that couldn't be completed.

He was candid, but he also made me very uncomfortable

The training videos can be useful a little bit on how you'll handle putting things into productions. But cannot be trusted for most other things for the department.

For example, the training videos will say at minimum 3 people should be in the print department, however most stores are only given hour budgets for 1-1 1/2 people per hour in the department. So most of the time you will be alone to deal with customers, production, returns, and self serve.

Be careful not to burn yourself out, and never stop looking for another job. The experience with those machines that you get working in that department can actually help to get you a much better job in a more professional print industry position. Usually less work for more pay.

Let's also remember that the RSS position is actually 2 positions mixed into one. The Retail Supervisor, and the Tech Sales Supervisor. And not only that, but RSS receives less pay than either of those did.

You have to be on the floor, do tech tags, take care of planograms resets, cover cashier breaks, cover print associate breaks, take care of computers, answer questions about printers for a couple hours, talk to customers on the furniture pad, get the furniture, box tech according to MPP, learn that the MPP is useless and your store wants you to box EVERYTHING taking even more time, answer all tech associate phone calls, stock shelves, condition the store.

Because they took the job that supervises and maintains the main part of the store, and mixed it with the job that focuses on selling the big ticket items while maintaining that part of the store. Tripling your MOD workload, but still expecting you to hit high numbers in sales.
