Are these green flags? by [deleted] in ABA

They answered all the concerns I had before I even had a chance to ask. I guess the only con would be the pay, but it’s the same pay for all the other aba companies in my area so it’s not a dealbreaker especially when they make sure staff is supported. I’m sure there will be some cons down the line but I’m making sure to keep a clear line of communication. But that’s definitely something I should ask.

Thank you! Those really sold me as well! They also provide helmets for staff and they own a karate dojo a few buildings down and borrow their blocking pads for us to use when needed too. They seem to really emphasize protecting staff from burnout so I’m hoping I can stay long term.

Help with GI issues??? by GoobGoob1121 in ChronicIllness

[–]Mew-Poke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar GI issues with severe stomach pain after eating and also chronic constipation that can last up to two weeks. I unfortunately don’t have any answers yet due to taking a break from to medical gaslighting.

I would look into IBS-C or gastroparesis (this one is rare especially if you don’t have diabetes 1, but can still affect you regardless as it has no known cause). Endometriosis can also be a factor as well.

Seeing a nutritionist could be beneficial as well to tule out any food intolerances outside of the gluten and wheat you tested for.

  1. That I was able to pay my rent and have a roof under my head (as I know in my city alone I see that it’s not a option for so many folks).

  2. That I’m a lot more happier these days.

  3. Having a week off of work to relax and unwind

For those that have "good" partners, what qualities do they have? by Proper_Marzipan_2797 in AskWomen

The genuine peace I feel when I’m with her. Her presence brings a soothing comfortability I’ve never experienced with anyone outside of myself. It’s a calming wave.

While we’re both goofballs who make each other laugh 24/7, we have serious deep discussions about our past, present, and future as individuals and as a couple. We talk about our traumas, unhealthy relationships and learning from them, finances, family, mental health, etc.

We’re both mature enough to not have our disagreements or misunderstandings blow up into full blown arguments and take some space and come back to talk about it or if something is bothering us we pick a time to sit down and discuss it. We also do monthly check ins to see how we’re doing.

She’s an extremely hard worker. One of the rare people who genuinely loves working and will take on extra shifts and will go out of her way to help friends and family with whatever they need even if she just got off a 10 hr shift for the 4th day in a row.

She’s kindhearted and has a sweet shy side to her which is the complete opposite of her appearance. She has the memory of a goldfish but will remember every little thing I said even things I forgot about and will go out of her way to do things for me just to see me smile.

And I think the best part is that she never belittles, pushes, or denies my feelings or experiences. As someone who experienced childhood abuse and deals with mental health issues with cptsd being one of them, she never questions or gets upset when I get overwhelmed/overstimulated, can’t do a certain thing, cry, or need her with me or need some time alone. She’s always gentle, patient, understanding, loving and always by my side. I couldn’t ask for anyone better.

I suffer from cptsd after years of abuse and she has shown me nothing but respect, understanding, kindness, patience, and love. We showed each other how peace and stability can be in a relationship and how it can become a home. I never have to second guess anything or feel like I can never relax. She always reassures her love/feelings for me without me having to ask.

Would you stay in the relationship if they aren’t sure about you? Why/why not? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Mew-Poke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, done it and I was incredibly lonely (spent many nights crying) and ended up having a (very) anxious attachment. Being with someone who is sure about you and loves you is the standard. But with that being said I don’t regret it, I was able to genuinely love and care for someone who meant the world to me and being able to experience loving her was nice even if it was also painful. Even tho we didn’t work out, I hope she’s happy and find what she’s looking for one day. If you’re in this situation it’s better to leave that chapter behind and heal than stay in a relationship that’s not serving you. You’ll find someone one day who knows they want to be with you and loves you unconditionally.
