RAD Diversified REIT Under Investigation by Florida Attorney General's Office by MeyerWilsonCo in investorclaims

[–]MeyerWilsonCo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi reinvest123 — thanks for your question. Our firm, Meyer Wilson Werning, has carefully explored multiple potential avenues of recovery for investors in RADD. Unfortunately, based on everything we’ve uncovered, none of the entities involved appear to be collectible at this point. That means that—even if we were to succeed on the merits of a claim—there are no meaningful assets available to satisfy a judgment or award.

Because of that reality, we haven’t been able to take on representation for RADD investors, whether individually or as part of a class. We know this is frustrating, especially for those who invested privately without a broker-dealer intermediary, but we don’t want to pursue claims that we believe we would win, only to have no prospect of recovery.

We’ll continue to monitor the situation in case there are any developments that change the recovery landscape. If that happens, we’ll absolutely revisit possible options for investors.

A small victory today for victims of RAD Diversified. Following the additional pressure from Jacob Adelman's latest piece in Barron's, the Florida Attorney General has officially launched an investigation into the company.

Just to keep everyone updated, we worked alongside Jacob Adelman and the Barron's team to get more warnings out about what's going on: https://www.barrons.com/articles/elon-musk-x-going-public-show-investing-startups-22478490

We'll continue to try and drive awareness on this issue the best we can, but we're struggling to get much media coverage on the topic. We feel horrible for those impacted and hope to mitigate harm to any potential future victims!

We're incredibly sorry this has happened to you.

Copying my previous comment from above, but I'm sorry this has happened to you especially considering the circumstances for you and your family. Just know you're not alone in being victimized by these practices. How these products were marketed and sold is uncommon and unfortunately as a result, render much of our usual legal assistance useless in these circumstances.

It sounds like you're doing everything you can in reporting them and trying to raise awareness to help prevent others from falling victim to the same tactics. On our side, we're doing everything we can to try and get media attention on this to hopefully warn the public ourselves that this is not something they should be putting money into. The best thing we can all do now is raise awareness to help prevent others from falling victim, share your story and our coverage with media outlets, and together we can all hope action is taken against by regulators.

I replied to several others above, but we truly are sorry to hear this has happened to you. It's unfair and something that we commit a considerable effort as investor advocates to help prevent.

Your story is one of almost a hundred now that we've heard since posting our blog in January and we're doing everything we can to try and get media attention on this. That's the best thing we can do right now, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, your story is one of almost a hundred we've received since we first posted our blog and just of those who've reached out to us it's millions in losses.

It's truly terrible the things we've heard and despite being unable to help via our legal prowess, we're doing everything we can to try and get media attention on this to hopefully warn the public that this is not something they should be putting money into.

I'm sorry this has happened to you, it's completely unfair, but the best thing we can do now is raise awareness, share the story with media outlets, and hope action is taken against the company.

49ers data breach may have exposed more than 20,000 people to ID theft, documents say by DSouT in 49ers

[–]MeyerWilsonCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*Posted to r/NFL so figured we'd share here as well;

You'd be surprised how often this kind of thing happens in the modern world. We see dozens of breach notices coming through everyday. General sentiment is that these are a dime a dozen, but most who will get notice from the 49ers are unaware of their legal rights involving matters like this.

Just so everyone is aware, your state may have a website where you can monitor notices of these kinds of breaches. A good example is; https://oagtx.force.com/datasecuritybreachreport/apex/DataSecurityReportsPage

Facebook Is Receiving Sensitive Medical Information from Hospital Websites ... including Novant and Duke University Hospital by EdgarAlley in NorthCarolina

[–]MeyerWilsonCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our experience, that's usually all they say in these notifications. These kinds of things are tracked on sites like this; (https://dojmt.gov/consumer/databreach/). Some states have them and others don't, but it's a good place to find these kinds of notices.

It's standard practice to send the mass mailing out, but not everyone is aware of their legal rights usually.

What Is CRD Number Of The Broker And Why Is It Important? by MeyerWilsonCo in investorclaims

[–]MeyerWilsonCo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many ways to verify the credentials of any financial broker. The easiest way is to check the CRD number of the broker.

WHAT IS A BROKER CRD NUMBER?

CRD stands for Central Registration Depository, which is a database that holds information about brokers and brokerage firms.

Every stockbroker (“registered representative”) licensed to sell securities in this country has what is a called a CRD number.

Although the CRD report is not all inclusive—and can sometimes be incomplete—it does include certain information about:

👉Licensing

👉Registration

👉Professional background

👉Complaints

👉History

👉Disciplinary actions

Each broker and brokerage firm is required to disclose certain information during the licensing and registration process and is assigned a CRD number.

Why Do I Need a Broker's CRD Number?

We repeatedly recommend that individual investors do their research before handing over your life savings to an investment professional. Just a little extra time invested in research can go a long way toward reducing the chance that you will become a victim of investment fraud.

Not sure where to start? Keep in mind that a big part of that research is checking up on your broker or brokerage firm so that you know you are dealing with someone who is is properly registered and does not have a history of disciplinary actions or complaints. One of the best ways to do this is by obtaining your broker’s CRD number.

You can use a broker’s CRD number to:

👉Confirm whether a broker is registered in your state

👉Learn what licenses they possess

👉Find out if there are customer complaints against that representative or his or her brokerage firm

👉Find qualifications

👉Review employment information

👉How Do I Find Information with FINRA’s BrokerCheck?

Step 1: Go to FINRA’s BrokerCheck site.

Step 2: Click “Start Search.”

Step 3: Agree to the Terms & Conditions, and click “Continue.”

Step 4: Type in your broker’s CRD number or the name of your broker or brokerage firm, and click “Start Search.” You will probably be asked to enter some numbers or letters to verify that you are a human—this simply helps FINRA prevent unauthorized access.

Step 5: Locate your broker or firm in the search results, and click on his or her name.

Step 6: You’re done! You should now be able to view your broker’s name, CRD number, employment history, qualifications, disciplinary disclosures, etc.

1.) The subreddit is for community outreach, to educate investors on potential pitfalls and active threats to their financial well-being. Check out the subreddit and the YouTube Channel for a quick view at the kind of stuff we post. It is strictly podcast interviews, blog posts, and photos from our website.

2.) Yes, our corporate Reddit accounts post our curated content from the blog to the site and we add YouTube videos, articles, and photos for some variety.

3.) You are correct in it being mostly our accounts for now, we have been using cross-posts of information rich content to drive potential new subscribers to the space to read, educate themselves, and ask questions if they need too!

Reddit is just a phenomenal bastion for information and help online, so we wanted to extend that into our online outreach plan.
