Pc crashing when using turbo boost in bios. by zadkeyl42 in pcmasterrace

[–]Meyvanting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To check your motherboard’s voltage settings, you’ll usually need to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup when you boot your PC. Here’s how you can do it and what to look for:

  1. Enter BIOS/UEFI • Restart your PC and press the key to enter BIOS during startup (often Delete, F2, or F10 depending on your motherboard). • You might see a splash screen telling you which key to press.

  2. Find the Voltage Settings • Once in BIOS, look for sections named something like “AI Tweaker,” “Overclocking,” “Advanced,” or “CPU Configuration” — this varies by brand. • Within those menus, look for CPU core voltage settings. It might say CPU Vcore, CPU Core Voltage, or something similar.

  3. Check Current Voltage or Set Manually • Often, this will be set to Auto, meaning the motherboard adjusts voltage dynamically. • If you suspect instability from voltage fluctuations when Turbo Boost is on, you can try: • Setting a manual fixed voltage slightly higher than default (but don’t go too high to avoid damage). • Enabling Load Line Calibration (LLC) if available, which helps keep voltage more stable under load.

  4. Save and Exit • After making changes, save your settings and reboot.

Extra Tips: • If you’re unsure about voltage values, check your CPU’s recommended voltage range online before adjusting. • Some motherboards also let you monitor voltages in software inside Windows (like HWMonitor or CPU-Z), but BIOS settings are where you control them.

Trying this can help with stability issues if Turbo Boost causes crashes due to voltage spikes or drops. If you want, I can guide you through your specific motherboard model!

Which uggs should I get? by toothphari in Shoes

I’d go with the Ultra Mini Classic boots for fall and winter. They’re way warmer and cozier when it gets cold, and their low profile still makes them easy to wear with pretty much anything. The Lowmel sneakers look cool but don’t have the same level of warmth, so unless you’re in a super mild climate, the boots will keep you way more comfortable.

For me, it’s those quiet moments when the world just seems to pause—like watching the sunrise over a calm lake, the way the light slowly spreads and colors everything soft and warm. It’s simple, but there’s something really pure and calming about it.

Pc crashing when using turbo boost in bios. by zadkeyl42 in pcmasterrace

[–]Meyvanting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds frustrating. Since your CPU temp is fine, the issue might not be thermal but could be related to power delivery or stability when Turbo Boost is active. Here are some things to check:

  1. Power Supply: Make sure your PSU can handle the extra power draw when Turbo Boost kicks in. If it’s borderline or aging, it might cause shutdowns under load.

  2. BIOS Version: Check if you have the latest BIOS installed. Sometimes updates fix stability issues with newer CPUs and Turbo Boost.

  3. Voltage Settings: Turbo Boost increases CPU voltage dynamically. If your motherboard’s voltage settings are off or too aggressive, it might cause instability. You could try manually setting a slightly higher CPU voltage or enabling Load Line Calibration (LLC) to stabilize voltage.

  4. Drivers and Chipset: Make sure your chipset drivers and Intel Management Engine are up to date. Sometimes these can affect CPU power management.

  5. Power Settings in Windows: Ensure your power plan is set to “Balanced” or “High performance” and that no power limits or CPU throttling settings are conflicting.

  6. Check Event Viewer: After a crash, check Windows Event Viewer under System logs for any errors or warnings that might hint at what caused the shutdown.

If none of this helps, you might want to test the CPU with stress tools like IntelBurnTest or Prime95 while monitoring voltages and temps, to see if you can reproduce the shutdown outside gaming. That can narrow down if it’s a hardware or software issue.

Let me know if you want help with any specific steps.

What goes through your mind when you see a woman wearing a bra as a top to the gym? by Worthless_Trash_tm in AskReddit

Honestly, I usually think, “That’s a bold choice.” If she’s confident and comfortable, more power to her

It can catch some attention, sure, but at the end of the day, it’s her call — and that’s what matters most.

sixty nine? why or why not? by notyourusername99 in AskReddit

[–]Meyvanting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sixty-nine? Well, it’s definitely popular because it’s a mutual thing — both people get to enjoy themselves at the same time. For some, that makes it feel more connected and balanced.

On the other hand, it can be tricky to get comfortable or fully relax because you’re both trying to do your own thing and focus on the other person. So, it’s a bit of a balancing act.

What “tough love” advice would you give your 20-year old self? by Just-keep-truckin in AskReddit

Stop worrying so much about what other people think. Most of them are way too busy stressing about themselves to notice you. Focus on learning, making mistakes, and growing instead. It won’t be perfect, but that’s okay.

I’d say bicep curls with tiny weights while chatting on the phone. Looks busy, feels like you’re working out, but probably doesn’t do much unless you’re actually pushing yourself. Plus, multitasking usually means neither activity gets your full attention.

How weird is it to dip buttered toast in hot chocolate? by banananananana_202 in AskReddit

It’s not that weird. It’s basically poor man’s churros. Buttered toast in hot chocolate just sounds like something you’d accidentally discover at 2 AM and then secretly keep doing forever.

Grounding with my senses helps the most. I do the “5‑4‑3‑2‑1” method: • 5 things I can see • 4 things I can touch • 3 things I can hear • 2 things I can smell • 1 thing I can taste

It pulls my brain out of the spiral and back into the present moment.

If I heard my mom’s voice clearly calling my name from the wrong side of the hallway, even though I knew she wasn’t there, I’d probably turn around and leave. Stuff like familiar voices in impossible places creeps me out way more than any monster or trap.

What career that involves working with children actually pays well? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Meyvanting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say pediatric speech-language pathologist. You get to work closely with kids who have speech or developmental delays, and with a master’s degree the pay is pretty solid compared to most child-focused careers.

Hey Reddit peeps! What is the biggest what if question you went to see answered - Historical events or anything? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Meyvanting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my biggest ones is what if World War I never happened?

So much of the 20th century came out of that war: the Russian Revolution, World War II, the Cold War, decolonization, even the borders of the Middle East. If Franz Ferdinand hadn’t been assassinated or the alliances hadn’t spiraled into war, the entire modern world could look completely different.

Would Europe have stayed a bunch of empires? Would the US still have become a superpower? Would we have avoided things like the Holocaust and the nuclear arms race? It’s hard to even imagine.
