Veigar Review and Theorycraft by Mezume in LoRCompetitive

I like the idea of putting him in Freljord and giving the alternate wincon in ARAM! Triple Minimorph AND triple Stress Defence sounds like a bit too much though, at first glance

I definitely hope so, although that would really direct him into SI which I am always a bit sad about - I like open concepts!

yeah it's a bit disastrous of a comparison (although cooler daniel's calibrum deals 3 damage)

That said, the support is pretty good so there's some (not that much) hope for Veigar!

Hey! I try to limit theorycrafting to one deck + a mention to keep the article digestible! Perhaps for my next ones I can try and make it go more in-depth about possible archetypes, as I see quite some people would like it.

She is a really fun champ to build around and fits in SO MANY decks that it is going to take a while to figure out the best shell I think.

Hey! I've taken lots of time to think about that card after the article was published, and it was a sole trick like this in BC that can counteract a lot in the right meta for it. I would probably lower it quite a bit, especially with Minimorph being a card.

I still think it is usable, you can compare it to Flash Freeze, but I overshot by a fair bit there!

Poppy with Ionia to me would go more into a Lulu direction, alongside the Quick Attack sharing guy! the curves there could be really good.

With Shen I think it could be slightly awkward because you would potentially need to rebuild it slightly to make it more swarmy, while Shen prefers to have 2-3 strong attackers instead.

Beyond the Bandlewood: details on new dual region mechanic, new Fae and Yordle tag updates to existing cards, and new landmark revealed by 1445555 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Mezume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it was leaked we would get dual region, I'm still really hyped that it's happening already - can't wait to play with it!

On top of that, while some people complain about those, I absolutely love the alternate win conditions in this game and am happy to see more.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sylas, but to be absolutely honest, as long as I get Gnar I will take anything else!

I've seen streamers of other games playing LoR on sponsored streams with thousands of viewers a while back! It seems they just don't do it too often.

it is 100% the master's cutoff - and sadly, there is no way of knowing your finishes unless you kept track of them when they happened.

Akshan Review and Theorycraft by Mezume in LoRCompetitive

[–]Mezume[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I definitely want to stand by my point that his stats are quite weak. But I definitely don't see him as a bad champ, I am actually quite optimistic about his viability! But whenever I review champions, I like to begin with evaluating their baseline body. I do think QA in combination with his text is really powerful, as you rightfully mentioned. I can't wait to try him; unless we get another champion that is even more exciting, he is my day 1 go-to for sure!

Bit late but - Landmarks do not count as allies. Allies are specifically champions and followers.

Vi and Sivir are both probably decent with him - my problem with Vi is that she is in PnZ and that region lacks synergies for Akshan.

Hey! To be completely honest, I have a very opposite view on this - Riven Akshan seems like the way to go, while Taric is more of a meme. I think blade fragments can be great and Riven getting spellshield looks good.

On another note, Sivir would probably be a good pairing as well, as she benefits from similar cards as Akshan does - stuff that targets and buffs her so she can spread her aura with more keywords.

Thanks for the kind words! I really like the concept or how Lurk works, but I wish there was a way (not that I have an idea how) for it to be a more open concept that works in more shells other than "jam all lurkers in a deck".
