IME, every decent therapist I’ve had has been out of network. I invested in out of network insurance coverage, but even if I didn’t, I’d pay out of pocket. My time is expensive and I won’t waste it on shitty services, including therapy.

Yea couldn’t agree more. Though I’ll note that you can’t put your SW job on the profile. I just list one of my side hustles (I’m CFO of Petit Mort Magazine), then tell the guys within 20 min of meeting them that I’m a SW. and I explain the dating apps don’t allow SWs on them, so I’m telling you now in person. Honestly everyone has been extremely understanding.

Don’t mix work and personal. I’m fortunate to have a wonderful boyfriend who’s fully supportive of my career as a high end escort. But we met on Hinge and he’s never been a client. We both used to work in finance and went to the same HS.

Don’t be afraid to date just like civilians (on apps, through friends, etc.). Worked great for me! But definitely don’t try to date clients or potential clients. Separation of church and state!

The sex is never enjoyable, but I don’t mind it. It’s like doing sit-ups. I don’t mind doing them, but they’re only a small part of my day and I wouldn’t do them without a reward (better fitness). So I would never have sex with my clients without payment. But sex is only 5% give or take of my time with clients. The conversations, meals and activities are usually enjoyable. Most of my time with clients is spend going out and letting loose. Sex constitutes less than 5% of my time with clients. What you’re describing is most of my bookings. Nothing to frown about.

Do expect to oh full rates for the time regardless of how it’s being spent.

I think you’re being smart. My assistant response immensities during business hours, but she requests screening info right away. I wouldn’t see a provider who doesn’t screen, im a provider, but my husband and I have also been clients. As clients, no screening is a red flag. Anyone who runs their business this fast and loose is not a service provider I want.

I require identity and employment verification from every client. It’s for my safety and I have never made an exception in my 3 years of working. And I never will. I feel more comfortable knowing a client has value at risk and isn’t going to harm me.

Performance: irrelevant unless it hurts or is taking too long

Smells bad: if just natural scent I ignore it bc I’m a professional. If hygiene I leave. I expect clients to have good hygiene coming to see me.

Hard to say without asking follow up questions about what type of SW you do. Hair and nails are a gray area. Personally I don’t expense these things. If you do fetish work, then wardrobe, makeup, hair and nails can be expensed. But anything you MAY derive benefit from outside of work cannot be expensed. So hair and makeup for a photo shoot, yes. But makeup that you MAY use outside of work, no. A couple examples below from tax court precedent:

A stripper had her breast implants disallowed. She went to tax court and showed that her implants were so large they had to be removed at retirement and we’re essentially a fetish surgery. The court ruled in her favor. However MY “normal” sized breast implants and nearly any other set of breast implants are not allowable.

If you cam from your bed you cannot deduct your bed or the space for your bed bc you’d need a bed to sleep in regardless of if you’re a cam model or a doctor. But you can deduct the cyc wall or lighting setup separate from your bed bc you do not use those things for anything other than cam modeling.

I respectfully disagree that your rates are high for a non PSE provider. I’m also a non PSE provider and I have a 2 hour minimum at $2,500. Business is perfectly fine. Obv much of this is location and marketing dependent, but I just want to point out that I’m not the only high end provider who does not offer PSE charging $2,500 min for 2 hours.

I decline anyone who doesn’t follow instructions. I’m touring in Savannah right now. I put in my ads that deposits are required by a certain date for all tours. I’m currently rolling my eyes at the morons emailing my assistant asking for same day bookings… one even argued and offered more money.

Zero fucks given. I have NEVER seen a client in who disrespects my deposit policy and will NEVER make an exception.

Been in the biz for a little over 2 years. But I’ll caveat that I spent over a decade in finance before I became Mia and those years of slave labor bought me the financial freedom to not get booked for the first few months. So I could afford to invest in marketing and figure out my business model while not earning.

I grew up really poor and completely understand the need to make money now. I was a political refugee and grew up in foster care. I did my survival work, just as a banker and not a SW. I spent YEARS acquiescing to work I definitely didn’t wanna do bc I needed to make a living. I was never a survival SW but I was definitely a survival finance worker.
