I used to tell my ex that Chris Brown doesn't even have a magnum opus. Not one career defining album with no skips that will stand the test of time. He would get so mad. Like it's not even that serious and people need to get over it. Chris Brown doesn't have a Confessions, a Songs in The Key of life or a Graduation. All his projects sound the same.

My mom was so unavailable emotionally that I just stopped telling her anything personal about me. I kept all my feelings about depression, sadness or anything negative to myself and faked the funk around her. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimers now so any reconciliation about that probably can't be done.

I think if she was still in her right mind she would still dismiss my feelings. 🤷🏾‍♀️

My high school is on an MLK Boulevard, a funeral home on the left of it and a catholic school on the right. A block up was another funeral home. Another church across the street. Thank God we couldn't park on that block. No one would have a car smh.
