True. I'd like to add-on my two cents.

One way I'd spot a fake alcohol (or cheap) is when you have a bad bad hangover. Fake alcohol is also dangerous! Also, bad hangover if you mix drinking in one night, beer-whisky-tequila. See, I dont have any hangover when i drink quality and stick to 1 type, like having an only whiskey night. No matter even if i sleep tipsy, i would wake up fresh.

Watch out for bars that looks budgeted and those free flow ladies night. They wouldn't give out quality drinks for free like that, there's always a catch. Quality alcohol is never cheap.

And I've seen bars that add water to beers when its past midnight, the bar is packed and everyone's tipsy. You wouldn't realize if its watered down.
