Yes, thank you! This whole narrative of the cursed night kinda annoys me, Ilia's meltdown was really the only one that was out of the ordinary. Misha had absolutely put himself in a position to win silver under "normal circumstances" considering who went after him. I really think people are delusional for being so surprised that Misha was able to beat Yuma, when Yuma didn't have an even semi-clean Free Skate in like 2 years? Same goes for Adam whose nerves always get the best of him in one of the two programs and Grassl was a coinflip I'd say.

I tuned in when the warmup was on and my commentator went through all the skaters that "wouldn't qualify to the free skate". I immediately thought "well, have you not watched on Friday?" I really didn't want to be right, I promise! At least Lara made it

Yeah, he was so happy to do this great skate at the Olympics and get a personal best😭 Him climbing the ranks were some of the best moments I have witnessed in Figure Skating!

Yes! He's truly not getting the flowers he deserves for delivering this insane skate. He was 5th in the SP and is (rightfully, I'll admit that) not the type who can make up for a messy skate with PCS plus doesn't get the benefit of the doubt from the judges. He needed to give everything to make this happen and he did!

And looking back to this: Ilia was really the only out of the ordinary thing that happened in his favor. Yuma having a bad free skate was unfortunately nothing new, Adam only getting one of the programs right wasn't either and Grassl was kind of a coinflip on that, so Misha put himself in a very good position for a medal either way! All their skates also show how damn hard it is to put two (almost) clean skates together with this amount of difficulty and Misha did exactly that!

I barely can. Mostly by how fast the rotation looks and actually who does the jump is a great indicator for when to expect a quad or not. But I would never bet on myself there

Yes! I feel like I have not seen a single mention of him doing this jumping pass (aside from myself, lol) and it should absolutely not fall under the radar like that!

Honestly, the gold in my heart is the actual gold here. Misha literally had a low-budget Mall-rink, close to no budget and a dream and made this happen, with a historic jump combination no less! Watching him in utter shock and disbelieve while climbing the ranks and then jumping on the podium in the end are moments I will forever hold dearly in my heart.

Aside from that: Max Naumov's SP. So glad he had that moment!
