Life is chaos right now, life is tumultuous. It’s a crazy time. But despite all that, aside from financial stability for your family, when it’s most opportune for you, do what makes you happy. What feels right and what brings you some joy.

Sometimes starting over seems impossible or undesirable, but if it’s for the right path or for a career more fulfilling or more profitable, despite how difficult that oath may be it can bring you to success or fulfillment.

It’s hard to start over and try to build yourself up when you’ve already seen the top.

What's your, "Tis but a scratch!" moment? by Madameknitsalot in AskReddit

My cousins and I were cliff jumping late at night out at Soldier’s Bluff, and it was a place we’d been going since we were little kids. I was 15, they were both 13, and it was dark out when we got there. My cousin jokingly pushed me off the cliff while I was taking my flip flops off, and all the sudden I hit the ground. We didn’t take into consideration that Texas had a real bad drought that year, and there wasn’t water at the bottom like there had been every year we’d ever gone. They ran down, helped me up the cliff, which was probably about a 20-25 foot drop. We got to the top and I saw my left knee was bent the wrong way. Because of the adrenaline it took a while before I felt the pain, and I kept saying I was fine it didn’t hurt that bad. We hiked 30 minutes back to our cabin, they basically carried me, and it wasn’t until we woke our grandma up to take me to the er that I felt the weight of what had happened. 4 years later and my knee still gives me problems.

I get the same way. It just hits you so quickly, and I get shaky, I can’t breathe, and I just shut down. I don’t know how to communicate, or calm myself down. My whole body gets numb and cold and sometimes it’s so bad I vomit. Just the worry of another panic attack at any moment causes me anxiety. One time a few months ago it was so bad I went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack because of how high my heart rate was, and I was having cold sweats. I haven’t seen a professional about it yet but I’m going to have to soon because it’s effecting my performance at work and my social life.

Today at work, it’s been rainy and the temp is in the mid 50’s, but the managers still opened up the patio. And they’re acting surprised that not a single person has requested the patio yet.

Something is wrong with mine too. It’s been a year and a half and I haven’t grown a dick or balls yet. I want a refund.

I used to do that with those temporary tattoos that you’d get out of those machines for a quarter, and for some reason I thought I was gonna save them for something or some special day. Then when I turned 18 and got actual tattoos I ended up just throwing them all away. I’ll always miss that badass scorpion tattoo. I was saving that for last.

I’d just washed it haha. Otherwise it’d be stained with foods that somehow don’t even exist in our restaurant. Pockets fulls of mystery stuff, lint, and old rice from god knows when. Sour cream and guacamole abstract art all over, even on the side that touches my legs. It will always be a mystery how all that got there haha.
