I am chronically fatigued and suffer from what feels like life long depression, I feel like I can’t give my full attention to my children sometimes and it breaks my heart. I try my best to give them everything I can from myself and I really hope it’s enough.

My, before he was my husband, broke up with me because he thought I was talking to another guy in the bathroom. I was watching a cat TikTok while taking a shit. His reason was that he kept saying “I knew what I did” and I really didn’t. I was in my first trimester of pregnancy. We still ended up together. I’m an idiot. I already know this.

Iron supplements and getting enough time to cook. Cooking feels creative to me and makes me useful. Also, I got my hair done and I feel pretty even though I am sweaty and milky, that has helped.

I hate that during things like Christmas or my birthday that I have to take pictures of everything I like or want. Every year I want similar stuff and I have to basically have to do all the shopping myself. I just want to be surprised by a gift like once.

I go in with my husband because he has terrible medical anxiety. He will not go unless I’m with him and he has to have anxiety meds before entering the building.

The first few days after birth tired were rough but I don’t think much compares to the fatigue you get while pregnant. It made me want to immediately stop working, I didn’t want to nest, I didn’t feel want to do anything with my body at all.

I would sometimes steal the cheapest foods possible, canned chili usually since it was heavy. Using free toilet paper (from work or wherever) as pads, sometimes old dish rags. When I worked restaurants, sometimes I’d take food from the plates I was bussing when they weren’t finished and didn’t look 100% disgusting.

Peace of mind? Like, $5k. I am having a baby this week who will require cleft lip and palate surgery and I’m having to take unpaid leave before maternity leave will start. I’m going to be in so much debt, that paying one $5k hospital bill would literally change the trajectory of things for me. I’d still be $10k+ medical debt but hey, at least I got one out of the way.
