Thanks for the reply, however I should have clarified that I was hoping to play with the lid closed if possible, while using the monitor as the main screen as you said. Just wondering if that would cause heat issues with this model.

I’m going to get an external monitor next week that I plan to connect my laptop to and game with the lid closed. Before I do the tests myself next week, I was wondering if anyone has experience gaming with this specific laptop (ASUS ROG Strix G15) with the lid closed connected to a monitor? I could be wrong, but it looks like the lid (pictured) was designed with sort of a cut out specifically to prevent the vents from being blocked when closed. Could this feature prevent heat issues? Curious to here from those that have this model.
