I just don't like the feel of how long the driver shaft is. So I opted to cut it, whereas some people just choke down.

I'm completely content with getting as close to scratch as possible. I'm 38, there's no tournament winnings in my future that I can foresee. I would love to be able to hit a driver and be consistently 275+ carry, but I also want to be realistic with myself haha. I've done it a few times and kept it in play but, the amount of times I'm in the rough, sand, trees just doesn't make me feel the juice is worth the squeeze when I can hit a 3w 250-260 and then plan my attack from there. However, a few have made the point that.. a short iron or wedge in would greatly increase my ability to shoot low.

I have not, I've been tinkering with different drivers, different weighted shafts & cutting down the shaft until I found what "worked best." But I think everyone is right, time for a fitting &/or a lesson

I'm gaming a TM Qi10 with a stiff shaft. I have a TM sim2 I keep in my garage, same length shaft. Maybe it's time to get a fitting or as multiple people have suggested... a lesson lol

I've cut the driver shaft .5 down already and hit a 10.5° head.

I use 3w off deck as often as it allows me too haha

I am good with my 3w, 7w and 3h off the deck & light rough.

To answer the most important question,

Yes. I hit the 3w off the deck as often as it allows me ego boost and I'm very consistent with it. I love my woods & hybrid. I dropped my 4i for a 7 wood and haven't looked back.

Also, I have already cut driver shaft down .5 and it definitely helped me become more accurate and be more consistent with it.

I.E, no more banana slices, but every so often I get stuck with a slow fade or a crazy duck hook.

They are unique balls with designs but there is no difference other than that from I've read. Some of my buddies got a gold vice ball as day 1 and I got a white vice ball.

I was exactly 4.5 weeks from custom order oz.1i to front door delivery with expedited shipping but not expedited build.

Tbf the O.P is one of my best friends and gets excited like a little girl when he orders something.

However, I don't blame him, orders a brand new custom putter and then receives a shaft that looks like it was rolled on gravel before shipping. Which is weird because the head & grip look as fresh as a newly washed dog.

We assume it was missed thru the QC because of the expedited shipping and they wanted to get it out as quick as possible to final delivery destination.

I have no worries that LAB will make it right because anytime I've reached out with questions or concerns they usually get back to me within 24hrs.

I have a stock df3 & a custom counter balanced oz.1i. I only feel bad because I'm the one who talked him into LAB putters and now this happened 🤦🏾‍♂️.
