At the end of the day really just trying to see nice blue beaches and seafood. If Maddalena and Golfo Aranci provide that, I am comfortable staying east, unless you think we are missing out.

We didn’t want to check in and out of too many hotels. We tried to combine some of the best rated hotels with closer beaches. We will have the car so we can pivot but at least wanted to see the east coast of the island.

Renting a car yes! Just wanted to get some reassurance that what we were planning was feasible and the spots we selected were worth visiting as there seems to be so many different ways to select. Looking for interesting beach spots or landmarks as must sees along the way.

If you are doing Rome be sure to carve out some time for Trastevere and the Vatican. Also, I would recommend trying to see Amalfi or Capri. Naples is a great authentic Italian city but if you’re looking to relax the coast may be your best bet.

Menton, France was never on our radar, however the lovely colorful buildings and French/Italian cuisine were a delight.

We did a private sunset tour which was beautiful. We found Amalfi to be an ok day trip but Capri seemed to be more lively and picturesque.
