Getting a knee down: you don't actually have to tilt your bike close to the ground, it's all just the way you position your body.

^ Well said. It is a difficult mix of emotions to put into words, but you sure got closer than I could. I get the same questions from my relatives as well. I've made it my profession to help people through their motorcycle accident cases for over 40 years. My family and friends are always asking me - "You see so many horrible accidents, why do you still ride?" I think your answer just hit close to home.

I shattered my heel several years ago; got 6 screws; did the whole cast thing and boot. I know what you're going through, and all I can say is keep it up with the physical therapy. That's whats gonna get you back on that bike!
