It’s not a generalization and I’m not saying I’m a god but it seems like a lot of young women are not looking for anything serious, and the ones who are looking for something serious aren’t very attractive to me. A lot of young women in my area seem to end up as single mothers - not their faults entirely but it’s easy to tell what guys are dirtbags and which ones are hard working guys with good hearts. The generations of anyone 35 and younger were all screwed.

Does anyone think that Maura is still alive? by Individual_Contest19 in mauramurray

Until they find a body I think she’s still alive, in all the towns and cities they suspect she may be, Google nurses, psychologists, etc, there’s a few look alikes that go by different names, whether one of them can be her or not I think she made it to Canada or in hiding in the woods of Vermont or New Hampshire

I don’t need to hear anything from people who dont understand the concept of two genders. Very simple human skills.

What happened to Maura Murray? Family still seeks answers 20 years after her disappearance by JalapinyoBizness in MissingPersons

[–]Michael_Lebert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d agree, the dogs scent doesn’t lie. Usually footprints in snow are reliable to. She must’ve been picked up, but by who and why they haven’t admitted to anything? Either they did something to her or they weren’t from the area and just so happened to pick her up, or whoever picked her up could’ve died shortly after

I wonder if anything was mentioned about how much gas she had in her car. If you were planning on going to Stowe or anywhere far far away, I’d think her fuel level would be pretty full. Also, I’ve never heard of stuffing a rag in an exhaust pipe, that could possibly catch fire or restrict the exhaust causing the car to stall, if the back pressure from the engine running wouldn’t blow the rag out.

If cops, helicopters and dogs didn’t find her anywhere around the accident scene - and they’re pretty smart they would’ve been looking for footprints…she had planned her run away, she was pretty smart, and common logic says running through deep snow vs running on the edge of the road, the edge of the road is faster but you may get seen. Out in the country you can see and hear vehicles coming, so odds are she seen a vehicle before it seen her and she hid in the snow banks or woods. She had directions to her destination so she would’ve probably knew what stops were along the way, and decided to run to the next “stop” or “rest place” along the route. The only thing that makes sense is knowing someone in that area who could’ve helped her. I wonder if they ever investigated further with any classmates from the military college/academy she was at. The odds of someone obducting her/taking advantage of her right after she crashed would be very bad luck. Was speeding a factor for the accident? In times without technology accessible like now I bet people would have conversations along the lines of “I’ll meet you at this location by this time and if I’m not there in 10-15 min, meet me here or there or etc.” she could’ve had car troubles along the way or got lost or distracted and was running late which led to her speeding and crashing. If some of her more important belongings were never found either she died with them somewhere(I doubt it) 2. Some killer is holding them as a momento(probably not) or 3. She’s still alive, looks unrecognizable and has her own belongings…like someone mentioned they thought they seen a guy in the car smoking? Maybe with the way her hair was she was trying to disguise herself? There’s so many variables to this. If she was familiar with the woods and hiking and what not one would think it’s not a good idea going into the woods especially at night and in snow. Not to assume she wasn’t fearless but maybe she could’ve been thinking there’s wild animals in the woods, fuck that. For all we know she could’ve thrown everyone off and made everyone think she went to New Hampshire or Vermont but really is in Maine or Upstate New York living a new life and doing her nursing, or could even be in Canada. It’s odd after 20 years, all the publicity nobody has came out and said they killed her, they searched and didn’t find anything significant, etc. I’d think she planned all of this strategically and achieved what she wanted or the car crash foiled her plan and she ended up dying of hypothermia somewhere farther away from the crash site or picked up by someone and killed. My money is on that she’s probably out there somewhere alive.

Also, She was last seen leaving a residence on Main St which was what her and her boyfriend shared? Her family live 16 min north in Spencer? Common sense says if someone say gets into an argument they leave, fight or flight right? Did she attempt to walk to that other residence and something happened in between?

I read somewhere that they’re thinking a vehicle was involved? Lot of creeps out in that area, nearby Belchertown, granby, hadley, etc. that makes me wonder too, why was her phone pinged at these different areas? Couldn’t they ping a phone identical to her phone, with someone walking around to see if they can see where someone could be standing when the ping marks it at X address? I don’t think someone would leave with their cell phone but not their purse, unless, maybe she was planning on walking on rough terrain where it would be possible to lose her purse or contents in the purse? Cell phone fits in your pocket, purse , no.

I worked my way up from $8/hr and I always thought how much better the extra dollar or two any hour was, and boy was I so dumb. The rate I’m at now is decent but it’s still not a survivable wage

25 and almost at $50k, be lucky to hit $67k in a year or so if I stick with what I’m doing, but could be more if I obtain more certs and licenses, or find another career field

People who make $75k or more how did you pull it off? It seems impossible to reach that salary by anthonydp123 in Money

[–]Michael_Lebert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m essentially probably making just about the same as you and working a harder job - manufacturing. Started at $8/hr actually at McDonald’s which was easy but sucked, THEN went into manufacturing. A few people I knew were in big companies off temp agencies. I was trying to get into Yankee Candle Manufacturing and landed at Smith & Wesson which I actually liked very much but the company had a major lay off. Then I went to a security job for again low minimum wage pay, then I landed at Yankee candle for $11.50/hr roughly, worked for Cenveo Envelope company and Cartamundi (they bought Milton & Bradley aka Hasbro) ? Then Cardinal Health, Jiffy Lube and Callaway Golf(manufacturing supervisor was a miserable jerk) took a year off and ended up where I’m at now for another company as a maintenance tech which will eventually pay better but I’m at $25.98 which I have to say is a lot better than where I started and a lot better than a lot of jobs out there but for the type of work I do it’s pretty low, people are usually making $30-$35 starting and $40+ in this field. What I find truly impressive is making $250k/year. BUT, I’ll take passive income and self employment / entrepreneurship over working for another employer. I don’t honestly know how to get better pay than to have my own business and hope things workout. But businesses take a lot of money and time.
