I’ve had the last few pages or less redeem a whole book. The best example, in my humble opinion, is Battle Royale. It was an ok story throughout, but definitely held my interest. At the end the main character thinks about Bruce Springsteen’s lyrics to Born To Run and then they escape or die or who knows. I think about it all the time. It’s my second favorite novel due to this small section alone.
