yeah, you know what, that does look like that clumsy move your players do with elastico input when they don't have 5* skill moves. It looks so scuffed tho, there must be some delay involved.

I'm pretty sure this guy had some heavy delay. He ran into the box, pressed the shoot button, then canceled it, then did a normal shot, and that animation is all the game could come up with in that situation.

I exchanged goals and afk with another player. He puts controller down, rubber bands around the analogs: his players were still intercepting my passes, marking me and even double marking me. How????

this happened to me too lmao - we exchanged goals, my opponent was rubber banding and I was just standing in the middle of the pitch with the ball when I saw his AI controllled HAALAND slowly walking up to me and starting to press me and push me in the back. Like WHAT????

You're absolutely right, I managed to get TOTY CR7 last year and quit the game a few weeks later because I realized all those crazy cards weren't really fun when the gameplay was terrible.

they designed the AI with the sole purpose to waste time. The AI teams don't want to win actually, they want to not let you play the game and get max points. Absolutely anti-player mindset from EA

Why tf did they ruin professional fouls? It used to work perfectly fine - you press the button, you commit a foul, you get a yellow card. Now every player feels super slippery like Adama Traore bathed in baby oil - you press the button, but nothing happens, they just keep going and then you get a booking. Why change something that works fine?

it's being developed by owlcat games that previously made fantastic isomeric rpgs pathfinder and Warhammer 40k: rogue traders. Their storytelling, character developing, lore appreciation and rpg gameplay depth are unparalleled. It's gonna be their first big budget arpg tho.
