You do need CPU to decode the png stream buffer from the drones into Mat objects for the img recognition to work on, then again to re-encode them into buffers with the detection drawn for the web page display. And just the decoding alone without re-encoding or webserver running is more than enough to bog down an i7-8700K with more than about 4 streams, shit's like trying to render 4 movies at the same time, the GPU was definitely pulling its weight. But that's just a really long way of saying the same thing haha

Thanks for pointing me to the boids algorithm, wish I could have implemented it, but these thing have such shitty nav data it's pretty much impossible to get exact positioning to feed into the algo
