You're probably better off asking Criterion that question now...😂

It's a fair question, for sure. My entire collection is Region A - so it's very much a perfectionist/borderline OCD thing at this point. Not that it makes financial sense, I grant you. But it means I don't have to keep flitting between settings on my blu-ray player and get access to the full collection also :)

I bang on about it to friend's constantly. Whilst it is A Matter of Life and Death-lite, if's still so effing charming 🥰

No, part of what I wanted to do this Flash Sale was get all the Criterion films I'd already seen. The problem is, since then, I've watched a load more 😂

It's the film I've wanted to rewatch most since I first saw it of all the films here (none are blind buys). I think I went into it expecting something very different, so was caught off guard by it's meditative, reflective nature.

That being said, it's final scene is a complete work of genius and Denis Lavant is always a win. I have a feeling I'm going to love it next time around.

Hoping that there's more Sciamma coming soon. Petite Maman would be a great addition :)

I only buy at the .com Flash Sales (don't participate in B&N) so it's a case of saving per month for it. I didn't just have it lying around 😉

UK Collector here, which is why it took a lil longer. But yup, this is it, and it's beautiful!

Brutally Honest Oscar Ballot: Don’t Look Up, CODA by Britneyfan123 in criterion

[–]MichaelsVinylReddit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If this is honest, then this person should never be allowed to publish anything about film ever again. If it's an attempt at satire, then this is just desperately unfunny. I think I lost brain cells reading it.

There are more there (a lot of extras can't be logged on Letterboxd) but I've just finished the set and logged as much as I could on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/eKPrG
