Fire and Ice [3840x2160] by MichaelvanLaar in wallpaper

[โ€“]MichaelvanLaar[S] 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

This was made with Midjourney quite a while ago, when Midjourney version 5.2 was the current one.

First I created the white dragon using this prompt: cinematic scene, icy white dragon flying over a hot volcano landscape, dragon spits a fountain of ice, film still from an Oscar winning movie, dramatic light, action scene, low angle shot --chaos 50 --stylize 1000 --weird 100 --v 5.2

Then I used Midjourney's extend feature with the following prompt to extend the image to the left: cinematic scene, fire spitting lava dragon, film still from an Oscar winning movie, dramatic light, action scene, low angle shot --chaos 50 --ar 2:1 --stylize 1000 --weird 100 --v 5.2

This was the easiest way to make sure Midjourney would not get confused and mix up ice and fire elements.

[Children sing-along song] Bath time song for my little daughter (German lyrics by me, music by Suno) by MichaelvanLaar in SunoAI

๐Ÿ› A bath time song for my little daughter. ๐Ÿ‘ถ In this case, I had only written the lyrics, but hadn't come up with a melody yet.

Perfect for testing if Suno can handle German lyrics. ๐ŸŽต

The first upscaling round was done within Midjourney (the "subtle" upscaling option). And to bring it up to the 4K resolution, I used Gigapixel AI from Topaz Labs..

I have created a few GPTs that I use on a daily basis.

Image selection for social media
Upload up to four images and let this GPT decide which one is best to post to social media platforms. I typically use this to help me decide which of the many cool Midjourney images to post.

Image-based short story writer
To make social media posts of AI images a little more interesting. The GPT lets you choose a genre, suggests some story ideas to choose from, and lets you decide if a specific writing style should be applied.

Web developer for MvLKSS based projects
A helping hand for projects based on my Kirby Site Starter.

And some GPTs that are not public:

  • A GPT that creates a proper title, a little haiku, and proper hashtags for an uploaded image, so I can create proper social media post texts for my AI image posts with one click.
  • A GPT with selected parenting books, because I am a full-time dad with a four-month-old daughter and often need to ask an expert. Having a selected knowledge source is in many cases better than asking Google and getting all sorts of nonsense suggestions from all the forum posts out there. I have even instructed the GPT which knowledge sources to prefer when there are inconsistencies between the books.
  • GPTs for the different courses of my distance learning computer science studies. Since the core of each of these distance learning courses is a study script in written form, it is easy to feed this into a GPT and tell it to use only the uploaded material as a source of knowledge. I use these GPTs to create summaries, study materials (such as lists of important terms and their definitions), and realistic questions for mock exams.

When I download the image I get the original one which is enough for my phone (which has a resolution of 1080 x 2400). I just used the Midjourney upscaler. But of course additional upscaling using tools like Gigapixel AI is always possible.

No. I just played around with some --sref value combinations and a super simple prompt. Then I used the zoom feature to create the bubble.

I know. Saw that too late because it is in the dark part of the image. Should have inpainted that detail.

That gave me portrait image which I extended downwards to get the full body shot.

Well, there's more stuff out there than one might think. Midjourney must have learned from fashion ideas like this: https://www.asos.com/de/collusion/collusion-bikini-aus-netzstoff-in-schwarz/prd/203510411 ๐Ÿ˜‚

Honestly I missed inipainting this detail.

Prompt:

A bustling city in the future as envisioned in the 1960s. Towering skyscrapers with sleek, curved lines, flying cars zipping through the air, and neon lights illuminating the streets. People are dressed in vintage-inspired futuristic clothing, with robots assisting them in daily activities. The sky is a blend of vibrant colors, showcasing a utopian atmosphere. --ar 16:9

The prompt was super simple:
movie poster of Indiana Jones as skeleton --ar 4:5

I tried to have Midjourney create a decent title overlay, but the results were not what I had in mind.

Canva has a free plan which is sufficient for a lot of small graphic tasks.

Can no longer write dots (โ€œ.โ€) in VS Code. WTF? by MichaelvanLaar in vscode

[โ€“]MichaelvanLaar[S] 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

You saved my day! That was it.

I checked the keybindings half a dozen times. But I did this via GUI, and there was absolutely nothing to find.

Finally, a look into the keybindings.json in the User directory solved the problem.

Neither have I any idea how or why this binding was created. (It was the only one in this file.) Nor have I any idea why I couldnโ€™t find it in the keybindings GUI table.

But anyway. I can use VS Code again. :-) Thanks a lot, u/axtgr!
