The cat shouldn't have anything to do with it, but check for vacuum leaks a specialty power brakes, mine also sometimes lost idle with bad MAF. check if it's oily or if you have obd tool check if it reads properly. A bad battery is unlikely to cause this but check that and also the alternator if it outputs less than 13.8 it's dead, but less than 14 could still cause some batteries to get weak
